I had been experiencing symptoms for a short period of time and they got worse over the weekend and wasn’t able to make it to my PCP. So I scheduled an appointment because the symptoms weren’t bad enough to go to the ED. The wait time was bad it took almost 2 hours after my appointment time to be seen but the staff was friendly and the provider listened to me and answered my concerns. I would definitely recommend her.

Went to work feeling bad with a sore throat fever and chest congestion. But i went on a head and finished my short shift. After work I went on a head did a walk-in visit at Baptist urgent Care the waiting was amazing soon as I checked in not even 5 minutes I was called to see the doctor's nurse went over everything with me and check my temperature, cotton swab my nose and mouth for covid and the flu. The nurse told me to be about no more than 25 minutes or less for the results and the doctor sure enough arrives and was very pleasant and nice talk to me explain to me my results and it wasn't covid it was the flu then the doctor recommended I I take a few days off from work and take my medicine that she prescribed to me along with rest and drinking plenty of water. Happy patient 😀👍👌

Walked in and was nicely greeted by the front desk worker. Got signed in as a first time patient and was seen pretty quickly. The tech who took my vitals was friendly. When asked what pharmacy I used, I told him Walgreens on Military in Benton. Then the NP was in to see me for maybe 60 seconds and said she'd write a prescription for me and asked where to send it. I told her Walgreens on Military in Benton. She asked what time they closed I said 10pm. I get to Walgreens and they say they have no prescription for me, and by this time the clinic was closed. I had to wait until the next day to call back and when I did I was told they sent my prescription to the wrong Walgreens. 🤦‍♀️ This was very inconvenient, since I informed 2 people there exactly would where I wanted it sent to. I would recommend this facilty for anyone needing urgent care, but highly suggest you make it triple clear that they understand where you want your prescription to be filled. This was a setback for me.

The nurse practitioner was SO nice! She was genuinely concerned and asked multiple questions. I had been feeling tired and run down for weeks. I had also been to my family doctor a couple times for this with no resolution. After I mentioned a couple other symptoms I was having I was asked to give a Urine sample and was diagnosed with a UTI. Yes I’d recommend this provider.

No openings were available for today. But the receptionist was extremely helpful to get me in as a walk-in. All the way to discharge, all were great. Just curious why I wasn’t prescribed paxlovid. I will definitely recommend this health unit for care.  Thank you

Was disappointed with the care I received from the caregiver.  Was not offered flu medication, only told to continue nose spray and increase to twice daily, continue Mucinex, drink fluids and take Ibuprofen and Tylenol for fever.  I came in with the flu, which was verified by nasal swabs and was within the time frame for administration of flu medication.

Scheduling was confusing. The site said you could hold a spot. As sick as I was, I filled out all the information to hold a 8:45 am slot. It was the first appointment available on your site. I couldn’t get a confirmation so when the clinic opened I called. I was told there was no holds, only walk ins. That is not what your information said. Please correct that so future patients aren’t mislead. All other areas of care were very acceptable

I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I was very surprised with my experience here. My appointment was made very quickly. I was seen in a very short period of time. My test results came back in a very timely manner. I was able to speak with a doctor soon after and was taking care of. I was very satisfied with the experience I had here. I definitely recommend using them for any issues you have or any questions you may have.

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

Arkansas Pulmonary Function Tests

A respiratory therapist or other certified pulmonary expert usually performs a pulmonary function test. A spirometer, which is a device with a mouthpiece, is used in one test, while an air-tight enclosure is used in the other. You may be referred to a specialist if your doctor determines that you require a pulmonary function test.

The following symptoms may necessitate a pulmonary function test:

  • A cough that lasts for at least 8 weeks
  • Even after little or no exercise, you may experience shortness of breath.
  • For a month or more, you've been coughing up mucus
  • Wheezing and coughing up blood
  • Chest discomfort that persists
  • Respiratory infections are common.

To prepare for your pulmonary function test, take these steps:

  • Do not eat a large lunch right before the test.
  • 6 hours before your test, don't smoke.
  • 6 hours before your test, don't do any strenuous exercise.
  • On the day of your exam, stay away from coffee.
  • Wear loose clothing that does not obstruct your ability to breathe.
  • Wear your dentures for your test if you have them.
  • 8 hours before the test, stop using any inhalers.
  • Don't take any ants with you.

You may feel dizzy or lightheaded at times during the test since it requires some quick and forced breathing. If you need to take a break, let your healthcare professional know. You may be exhausted following the test and require some rest.

If your results show that you have a lung problem, your doctor will discuss treatment options with you, which may include pulmonary rehabilitation, medication, or oxygen therapy. Lung health can also be improved by changing your lifestyle. For lung health, quitting smoking, having a nutritious diet, exercising frequently, and getting enough quality sleep are all essential. Furthermore, staying hydrated might help thin mucus in your lungs, making it easier to cough out.
