This is my favorite urgent care.  They are so efficient and very caring about your concerns.  I appreciate them all very much.  I had a very bad experience at a Banner urgent care a couple of months ago when I was badly hurt from a fall.  They were very rude to me, both nurse and doctor.  I will always go to Gateway.  Thank you.

Made appt and waited about an hour after that time to be seen. NP did not seem interested in prescribing meds for my kids who were coughing up brown phlegm and have had audible bubbling/crackling when they lie down. I asked—am I confused? Is coughing up brown not an indicator that they need antibiotics? She confirmed that it is, but not in their case because “they’ve been coughing for so long.” Make it make sense. Staff super friendly and efficient. Will not go back because of quality of medical care.

Able to schedule an appointment online  with ease. Check-in was made easy by filling out forms ahead of appointment. Waited for 20 min after scheduled appointment time but that is understandable and also made clear when scheduling that it’s an “estimated” time. PA immediately focused on my symptoms, prescribed necessary medications and answered all of my questions. All the staff were courteous and competent. I will not hesitate to return if I need urgent care in the future.

I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

As long as Nadine Shelepak PA-C is at Alliance, I will not return. I am prone to sinus infections and have been going to Alliance for over 8 years.  I have a file with the prescriptions given to me before.  After explaining this to Nadine, she didn’t give me what I’ve always been given. Her bedside manner is atrocious. She didn’t listen to my concerns and rushed me out.  Once again, if Nadine is at Alliance, I will never return.

Getting Tested for STDs in Paradise Valley, AZ

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, those with multiple partners, and individuals who have shared needles. Additionally, if you are experiencing symptoms such as unusual discharge, burning during urination, or unexplained rashes or sores, you should get tested immediately. It's also worth noting that some STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they present no symptoms, so regular testing is crucial even if you feel fine.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a critical aspect of maintaining your health and the health of your partners. Early detection of STDs can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Moreover, many STDs are easily treatable when caught early. According to the CDC, regular STD testing is also an effective way to slow the spread of these diseases.
