After 3 days of not feeling well went to our nearest AFC UC and was greeted with friendly faces and helpful staff. Confirmed my illness with testing by Breyahana and meds sent to my pharmacy (although not a lot of explanation about meds by NP Perry - just advised to take them b/c of age related to diagnosis.) In/out in less than 35 minutes. Overall satisfied with our visit!

Getting Tested for STDs in Harrisburg, NC

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, according to the CDC. This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, or are in a relationship with a partner who has been diagnosed with an STD. Additionally, individuals who engage in unprotected sex or share needles for drug use are at a higher risk and should consider regular testing. It's also recommended that all adults and adolescents from ages 13 to 64 get tested at least once for HIV.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial part of maintaining your overall health. Many STDs do not show symptoms, making regular testing the only way to know for sure if you have been infected. Early detection can prevent serious health complications, and most STDs can be easily treated if caught early. Furthermore, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to your partner(s).
