New to area, needed to see doctor due to suspected respiratory infection.  Ended up being more severe than thought. Doctor was very informative and took the time to diagnose and explain.  Even gave recommendations for PCP in area.

Respiratory Allergy Test
Went to Cherokee Blvd Urgent Care as a walk-in out of concern for possible flu, since I had developed nagging cough after being with my father as he passed due to flu-related issues, and staying with him and my family, some of which were also being treated for flu, during his wake and funeral. After hearing my concern, Dr Sara tested for flu and covid, and performed an exam to check for other issues. Doctor and staff were exceptionally friendly and compassionate, prescribed necessary medications, and treated my wife and I on a personal basis that was above and beyond expectations for a doctor visit.

I cannot complain about the office staff, provider, or facility appearance. We usually have a positive experience here. Today was the same. However, I noticed a tray of condoms on the counter in exam room 1 like a tray of party favors. I have young kids.  Thankfully, they did not ask what they were or even notice them, but I don’t think this is a good practice. They should be put away. I have never seen this at a doctor’s office or urgent care office.

I have been here dozens of times. The staff is always friendly and professional. If you are going in for Urgent Care, the wait times may be longer than you're used to, but this is the fastest Urgent Care clinic I have ever been to and it is always faster than the local ER. They are also one of the only places in town that sees patients after 5.

Getting an Allergy Test in Altamont, TN

Allergies affect more than 50 million people in the United States. Allergies run in families and are especially common among children. However, they can begin at any age. Allergies can disappear for a period of time before reappearing years later.

When your body's defenses are weakened, such as during pregnancy or after an illness, allergies can flare up at any time. The sooner you discover an allergy, the easier it will be to avoid triggers and relieve your symptoms.

Allergies arise in a wide range of shapes and sizes, and they can appear in a number of ways. Allergens include pollen, dust mites, animal fur, bug bites, certain medicines, and mold. An allergic reaction can be identified by sneezing, watery eyes, a runny nose, sinus congestion, coughing, or a skin rash. Allergies may aggravate some conditions, such as asthma or eczema. If your symptoms last longer than two weeks and come again, you may have an allergy.

If you suspect you have allergies, an allergy test can help you identify specific allergens and triggers. You can then develop a treatment plan with your healthcare expert to help you avoid allergens in the future.

Multiple allergy tests may be necessary to accurately detect an allergy. If the initial skin test is inconclusive, your doctor may order a second one. Food allergy testing is more difficult and often requires an exclusion diet. An elimination diet involves removing potential allergens from your diet and gradually reintroducing them one at a time to determine whether you have any reactions. Dairy, eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, fish, and shellfish are among the foods that should be avoided.
