Urgent care

I am always appreciative of the connivence this office offers.   Today I had a gentleman doctor and I thought although very upbeat and friendly, I was uncomfortable with the religious questions.  I personally believe there is a time and place, at this appointment was not it.  One, I didn’t feel well and the appointment should have stayed about that.  Two, he is  unaware of my circumstances and that was not the place.  I heard how he had converted, he asked me if I did, and it was very uncomfortable because again he had no idea of my circumstances A suggestion to possibly keep the appointment chatter on a lighter note. People coming in don’t feel well to begin with, any kind of heavy conversation may lead to some awkwardness (and it absolutely did).   Faith, and religion should be off the table for light conversation   Thank you.

Newton Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for chlamydia, especially those under the age of 25. This includes both men and women, regardless of sexual orientation or practices. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as chlamydia can be passed on to newborns during childbirth. If you're in a new sexual relationship, or if you or your partner have multiple partners, testing is also recommended.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that often shows no symptoms, making it easy to spread unknowingly. If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious health problems such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women and infertility in both sexes. Getting tested is the only way to know for sure if you have chlamydia, and early detection can prevent these complications.
