I had a serious problem with my back..My Doctor Carolyn Meyer saw the pain I was in and showed real concern for the problem with her skills and provided me with medication that helped. From there she had made sure that I was taken care of thru outside help that was not in her  specialty.. that meant a lot. Special thanks to her.

I was a walk-in and had previously used their services.  Paperwork was minimal and records were accurate.  Doctor was thorough and sent needed meds to my local pharmacy.  Great job. Good team.  Highly recommend the Ooltewah office.

I cannot complain about the office staff, provider, or facility appearance. We usually have a positive experience here. Today was the same. However, I noticed a tray of condoms on the counter in exam room 1 like a tray of party favors. I have young kids.  Thankfully, they did not ask what they were or even notice them, but I don’t think this is a good practice. They should be put away. I have never seen this at a doctor’s office or urgent care office.

This place is amazing. I have no insurance so the appointment was 120$ please keep in mind the payment is due upfront! Wait time - less than 10 minutes (whole thing only took about 30/40) Scheduling - I was a walk in Check in - beyond easy! If you use your phone to preregister I imagine it would be even quicker but mine only took me 5 minutes and the receptionist offered help! Staff - phenomenal. They are amazingly friendly! I'm a yapper and don't go to the doctor often. They listened to me tell them exactly what my issue has been and for how long. They offered comfort and assistance as needed and took me seriously without judgement! This is the first place I've been to where I felt seen as a patient and not a $$$ Care - again amazing! I had an issue with my ear (ear infection maybe ruptured ear drum) they took every step necessary to assist with my issue and had me in an out in a jiffy! Tldr - payment required up from. 100% WOULD recommend. Will be coming again if I need to be seen!

Went to Cherokee Blvd Urgent Care as a walk-in out of concern for possible flu, since I had developed nagging cough after being with my father as he passed due to flu-related issues, and staying with him and my family, some of which were also being treated for flu, during his wake and funeral. After hearing my concern, Dr Sara tested for flu and covid, and performed an exam to check for other issues. Doctor and staff were exceptionally friendly and compassionate, prescribed necessary medications, and treated my wife and I on a personal basis that was above and beyond expectations for a doctor visit.

La Fayette Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol isn't always a negative thing. It aids in the growth of cells and the production of hormones, among other things. On the other hand, too much cholesterol might be dangerous.

Cholesterol comes from two different places. The liver produces cholesterol, and dietary cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is found in meat, dairy, and eggs, among other animal products. Foods high in saturated and trans fats may cause your liver to produce more cholesterol than you need, resulting in dangerous cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of mortality in the United States. In the United States, approximately 38% of people have high total cholesterol levels. Because high cholesterol has no symptoms, it's critical to have your levels checked to ensure they're within normal ranges. Cholesterol levels in children and teenagers should also be checked.

According to the CDC, those over the age of 20 who have a low risk of cardiovascular disease should get their cholesterol checked every five years. Those with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should have their cholesterol checked more frequently. Other risk factors for heart disease

Fortunately, simple lifestyle changes can help you lower your cholesterol. Reduce your intake of saturated fats and eliminate trans fats from your diet as much as feasible. Trans fats are widely found in store-bought cookies and baked goods, and are labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food labels. Limit your intake of processed foods, especially those heavy in sugar, and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Increase your physical activity by at least three times per week. Any type of physical activity is useful. Instead of taking the elevator during your lunch break, go for a walk. Aim for at least 10,000 steps per day.

Don't smoke, and drink alcohol only in moderation. Not only will these changes help you lower your cholesterol, but they will also improve your cardiovascular health.
