I made an appointment online and was able to get an appointment quickly. I did not wait and was greeted kindly. The nurse practitioner that saw me took time with me and sent a prescription to my pharmacy immediately. She told me to get back to her if I wasnt doing better or had any questions. Way better than going to my family practitioners where I was told I couldn’t be seen until July 15th for a sick appointment. Highly recommend Carbon Health in Jenkintown.

Scheduled with ease online. They had an opening within 10 mins, took that appointment. Upon arrival was greeted by front office staff who kindly checked me in. Was sitting for not even a minute before being called back by the medical assistant who was also kind and took all my vitals. The Dr. came in with a wonderful professional demeanor and great bedside manner. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I would definitely recommend this office for your urgent health care needs!

For 5+ years, I have had a great physician experience at this location, but am preplexed by the doc I saw on Sept 17. I had head & chest congestion with severe exhaustion with an overall feeling of anxiety & dizziness with no voice.  I could not hold my head up, nor could I concentrate. Combo home test for Flu & Covid were negative  2 days earlier. Doc repeated these test, but the report I was given stared only flu test was administered. It was negative. A  prescription of Methylprednisolone for strength was given yet it can can cause more anxiety & dizziness. Also given a prescription for Benzonatate for cough which I did NOT have. This medication also may cause dizziness, drowsiness & stuffy nose…1st 3 side effects listed. My husband was the one who questioned the rationale for these meds. I didnt realize this in the office because I could not concentrate well. Why not a script for the congestion? I visited a different urgent care the following day. I had a sinus infection & double ear infection…my ears were never checked by Liberty doc. I also tested positive for Covid.

I walked the additional block to your site at 15th and Spruce. Your front desk people were amazing. The nurse that took my vitals was so personable. The doctor was great. Your staff made a bad uncomfortable day bearable. You guys knocked it out the park.Thank you so much.

Easy to schedule, they had a same day appt and I was able to book right at 9 am, staff and PA were SO nice, PA was informative and friendly, with great bedside manner and advice. My only opportunity area for this Urgent Care would be to reduce the wait time. It took 40 minutes before I even saw the PA from when I arrived with the 9 am appt. And all together I was there 1 hour and 30 minutes. PA was new and learning the ropes and computer systems, but this waiting time (with an appt) should look to be shortened in the future.

Croydon Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol isn't always a negative thing. It aids in the growth of cells and the production of hormones, among other things. On the other hand, too much cholesterol might be dangerous.

Cholesterol comes from two different places. The liver produces cholesterol, and dietary cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is found in meat, dairy, and eggs, among other animal products. Foods high in saturated and trans fats may cause your liver to produce more cholesterol than you need, resulting in dangerous cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of mortality in the United States. In the United States, approximately 38% of people have high total cholesterol levels. Because high cholesterol has no symptoms, it's critical to have your levels checked to ensure they're within normal ranges. Cholesterol levels in children and teenagers should also be checked.

According to the CDC, those over the age of 20 who have a low risk of cardiovascular disease should get their cholesterol checked every five years. Those with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should have their cholesterol checked more frequently. Other risk factors for heart disease

Fortunately, simple lifestyle changes can help you lower your cholesterol. Reduce your intake of saturated fats and eliminate trans fats from your diet as much as feasible. Trans fats are widely found in store-bought cookies and baked goods, and are labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food labels. Limit your intake of processed foods, especially those heavy in sugar, and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Increase your physical activity by at least three times per week. Any type of physical activity is useful. Instead of taking the elevator during your lunch break, go for a walk. Aim for at least 10,000 steps per day.

Don't smoke, and drink alcohol only in moderation. Not only will these changes help you lower your cholesterol, but they will also improve your cardiovascular health.
