I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Brown and his staff for about 3 years and My monthly visits have been GREAT! I’ve had my problem for 19 years and I had to find a doctor here that could continue my treatment because my previous Doctor is in Texas and I moved home so I had to find someone local. And the reason why I mention that is because for 19 years I’ve been treated by doctors when I lived in Alabama and Texas and they just couldn’t seem to get me where I needed to be and I remember my first visit to Dr. Brown, I was explaining to him about my condition because they didn’t have my medical records yet from Texas, and he looked at me and said, if you can’t laugh about your condition then your condition wins. And every month I go in there for medication refills and It’s always that TOPNOTCH LEVEL OF CARE!!!! For almost 20 years of being treated for this crazy condition that I have, Dr. Brown and his staff and his nurse practitioner Are the only ones who really truly listend to me, and finally I’m able to live my life the way I wanna live it! And I totally owe that to Dr. Brown and the entire staff!!!! I wished 19 years ago that Dr. Brown was my doctor because I truly believe the last 19 years of my life would’ve been a lot better! My hats off to Dr. Brown and his staff, they’re the best medical team I’ve ever been a patient of and I will never choose any other doctor but Dr. Brown and his staff! I am finally me! Thank you Dr Brown and everyone at Martinez Urgent Care for treating me like a member of a family and not just a chart, and listening to me when I tell them what’s wrong, they never rush me and Dr. Brown and his nurse practitioner always make time to listen no matter how busy they are! If you’re looking for a doctor with a staff that goes above and beyond then Martinez urgent care is the place you should go!! It’s because of Dr Brown, APRN Miller, the nurses and staff that after being treated for this for 19 years I’m finally able to live my life instead of just existing. So from Alabama to Texas, Martinez Urgent Care beats them all! Thank you Dr Brown and the ENTIRE staff for you’re awesome, top notch care!!!!

Windsor Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol isn't always a negative thing. It aids in the growth of cells and the production of hormones, among other things. On the other hand, too much cholesterol might be dangerous.

Cholesterol comes from two different places. The liver produces cholesterol, and dietary cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is found in meat, dairy, and eggs, among other animal products. Foods high in saturated and trans fats may cause your liver to produce more cholesterol than you need, resulting in dangerous cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of mortality in the United States. In the United States, approximately 38% of people have high total cholesterol levels. Because high cholesterol has no symptoms, it's critical to have your levels checked to ensure they're within normal ranges. Cholesterol levels in children and teenagers should also be checked.

According to the CDC, those over the age of 20 who have a low risk of cardiovascular disease should get their cholesterol checked every five years. Those with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should have their cholesterol checked more frequently. Other risk factors for heart disease

Fortunately, simple lifestyle changes can help you lower your cholesterol. Reduce your intake of saturated fats and eliminate trans fats from your diet as much as feasible. Trans fats are widely found in store-bought cookies and baked goods, and are labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food labels. Limit your intake of processed foods, especially those heavy in sugar, and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Increase your physical activity by at least three times per week. Any type of physical activity is useful. Instead of taking the elevator during your lunch break, go for a walk. Aim for at least 10,000 steps per day.

Don't smoke, and drink alcohol only in moderation. Not only will these changes help you lower your cholesterol, but they will also improve your cardiovascular health.
