As always, when an acute issue arises, from tendinitis, stitches, and or a lingering sinusitis the staff (everyone) is outstanding. The visit reminds me of days gone-by when one could call and have a visit in the same day.    The staff has a genuine interest, always a great sense of humor, personable, professional and great at what they do.   This site beats Mercy hands down.  I actually prefer visiting here than even attempting to see my regular GP.  When I need medical attention, my first choice is the Roger’s office.    Just don’t tell anyone 😊 as I have become accustomed to such wonderful care.   Thank you all.

I did walk in because I was so foggy headed I didn’t think to make an appointment. I had a bit of a wait, which was fine. They were very friendly, professional, and thorough.

I really like the APRN, Mary. I have confidence in her treatment and appreciate her willingness to take the time to listen to me and my concerns. She makes a tough situation easier to navigate and offers options for consideration. It was a good experience. It’s nice to have a place to go when you’re not feeling well. And when and if needed, I will return there. And I highly recommend this urgent care clinic.

I was very sick but could not get in to my physician. This was a great option!  It was easy to schedule online. The check-in was instant and I didn’t have to wait. I probably spent 10 minutes to get in. I really liked the staff and the Doctor. I would have liked her as my personal doctor!!!  She did several test and the staff had the results back very fast.  I would highly recommend this business!  My medication has kicked in and I feel so much better!

About Complete Blood Count (CBC) Testing

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) is a common diagnostic test that provides essential information about the different components of the blood. It evaluates the number and characteristics of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, helping healthcare providers assess overall health, screen for various medical conditions, and monitor the effectiveness of treatments.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and want a comprehensive assessment of your blood cells or have specific medical concerns, a Complete Blood Count (CBC) is recommended. Healthcare providers may also order this test as part of routine health check-ups or to evaluate certain symptoms or conditions.

Tests Included in CBC

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) typically includes the following tests:

  • Red Blood Cell (RBC) Count: Measures the number of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body.
  • Hemoglobin (Hb) and Hematocrit (Hct): Evaluates the amount of hemoglobin and the proportion of red blood cells in the blood.
  • White Blood Cell (WBC) Count: Measures the number of white blood cells, which play a crucial role in the body's immune response.
  • Platelet Count: Assesses the number of platelets, essential for blood clotting and wound healing.
  • Differential White Blood Cell Count: Determines the percentage of different types of white blood cells, aiding in the diagnosis of infections and other conditions.

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of a Complete Blood Count (CBC) is based on the specific values of each blood component. Abnormal results may indicate various medical conditions, such as anemia, infections, inflammation, or bleeding disorders.

Importance of CBC

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) is important for:

  • Screening for anemia and evaluating overall blood cell health
  • Assessing immune function and detecting infections
  • Evaluating blood clotting ability and platelet function
  • Monitoring the effects of certain medications and treatments

Following the Test

After a Complete Blood Count (CBC), healthcare providers review the results with individuals and offer recommendations based on the findings. If abnormal results are detected, further testing and medical evaluation may be necessary to determine the underlying cause.
