Friendly Staff

Urgent care
Lab testing
I came to my appointment. The wait time was appropriate, the nurses were super friendly and very helpful. When speaking with the doctor about my heartburn medication, I was told that it was a lesser milligram and I corrected that the bottle is a different milligram than what the doctor thought. I felt as if that moment her demeanor and tone changed as to me being irritating to her I apologize for upsetting her, she rolled her eyes at me and told me that I didn’t make her mad. If she behaves this way next time, I will be changing doctors No one deserves to be treated that way

First, the staff at this baptist clinic in the most personal and professional, I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with in a long time in a medical setting. No one wants to go to the doctors, but these women were hands down the most respectful and caring. I worked in the medical field for more than twenty years and they are top tier. Thank you to the staff for making my visit less stressful and all about my concerns.

About Complete Blood Count (CBC) Testing

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) is a common diagnostic test that provides essential information about the different components of the blood. It evaluates the number and characteristics of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, helping healthcare providers assess overall health, screen for various medical conditions, and monitor the effectiveness of treatments.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Ozark, Arkansas, and want a comprehensive assessment of your blood cells or have specific medical concerns, a Complete Blood Count (CBC) is recommended. Healthcare providers may also order this test as part of routine health check-ups or to evaluate certain symptoms or conditions.

Tests Included in CBC

A Complete Blood Count (CBC) typically includes the following tests:

  • Red Blood Cell (RBC) Count: Measures the number of red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body.
  • Hemoglobin (Hb) and Hematocrit (Hct): Evaluates the amount of hemoglobin and the proportion of red blood cells in the blood.
  • White Blood Cell (WBC) Count: Measures the number of white blood cells, which play a crucial role in the body's immune response.
  • Platelet Count: Assesses the number of platelets, essential for blood clotting and wound healing.
  • Differential White Blood Cell Count: Determines the percentage of different types of white blood cells, aiding in the diagnosis of infections and other conditions.

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of a Complete Blood Count (CBC) is based on the specific values of each blood component. Abnormal results may indicate various medical conditions, such as anemia, infections, inflammation, or bleeding disorders.

  • Screening for anemia and evaluating overall blood cell health
  • Assessing immune function and detecting infections
  • Evaluating blood clotting ability and platelet function
