Will not write about my experience other than the fact that the receptionist  young lady that checked me in and took my vitals was excellent. Do not want to share what followed.

Well, to be honest I was a bit disappointed. I went online to search for a "podiatrist" for a same day, or next day appointment. Using my zip code, I searched for locations in which to see a podiatrist the same day...... Your location, which is just within three or four blocks from my home, came up. Bottom line is, I anticipated, and expected to see a board certified podiatrist... A doctor who "specializes in foot care!"

It is a tremendous benefit to Urgent Care available whenever we have immediate health concerns. They are always pleasant, efficient, quite competent, and able to diagnose and address our problems with minimal inconvenience and so much more accessible than trying to arrange a doctors appointment.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

Dr. Richard and staff were both professional and friendly. Honestly, I cannot be thankful enough. I absolutely recommend this center to anyone in need of urgent help.

Compaired to the 17 years of not getting a proper CFS diagnosis, it was a pleasure to get a strep test that took 10 minutes and not have to argue over the value of a second round of antibiotics. When you know you still have a bug. Refreshing change

I wasn’t feeling well and I don’t have a PCP. I walked in here and the front desk women listened to my problems. She called over to somewhere else to see if they could get me in sooner and they were just as busy. She had me start paperwork right away and told me it would be a two hour wait. I ended up waiting an hour before I got into the room and I got my tests done and then it was another 45 minutes or so. It was a two hour experience but not a two hour wait. Everybody was very efficient and friendly and I would highly recommend this office.

The wait time is not managed well. It may be a computer glitch. I was scheduled for a online visit to access my needs before I go into the clinic. My scheduled time was 537 which was the first available when I called in around noon. I signed in at 5:25 I didn't speak to anyone until 6:32 when I received a call from a very nice physician. I refreshed my screen and the physician was able to connect with me. Had the physician not reached out I may have never been taken care of. An hour and 7 minutes is a really long time to stare at an empty screen. I'm sure many people just give up after a while. Once in the clinic the staff were efficient. I like filling out the forms on my phone. That contact less feature was spot on. I felt like the person testing for COVID-19 should have more PPE. She just had a thin paper mask. No face shield or garment covering. Overall the experience was good. Just the wait time could be improved.

I’m 73 years old. Have had recent health issues with extensive testing. Went Westmed for a PCR covid test to eliminate that possibility. Kimberly Carter MD recommended chest x Ray. Spot on lung seemed pneumonia. She prescribed an antibiotic. I’ve been seen by over a dozen MDs and PAs in the last several weeks. Dr Carter is outstanding. Her calm unhurried and warm affect were a balm. I wish I lived nearby because I would love to have her as my pcp.

I was able to easily book an appointment online 15 hours in advance for a rapid covid test. A staff member called to confirm with a positive attitude. I had to wait comfortably in my car for only 20 minutes after I checked-in. The nurse was more than gentle when swabbing my nose. I experience high anxiety during covid swabbing along with pain as they shove the swab as far as they can in my nose. But with Physician One Urgent Care, I experienced no pain and anxiety with respect for my nose. I wish I could always use PhysicianOne every time when I need a covid test but I am only visiting Connecticut. This was the quickest in-and-out covid test. This place deserves more than five stars! Thank you for such a quick and wonderful experience!

I had a horrible experience at a different testing center in Danbury. Waited 5 hours for a rapid test. Was told on two separate occasions I would be getting one. Walked in and was told no rapid test. The whole testing center was a disaster. So I went to this location instead. Extremely efficient service. I got the text at my actual appointment time to come in and get tested. Was told to come back in 20 minutes later for my results. I appreciate the efficiency and the organization, it is not something you see at other locations.

I was there with my son who had strep. I needed a PCR test too because I am a volunteer at the school. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Everything was great about my experience up until i was given my results of a covid test and the doctor began to berate me with questions about vaccination and why i was against it. As a medical professional, i would expect a bit more professionalism. I came in for a covid test, not a lecture on how my life decisions are wrong in his eyes. Also, why was the doctor trying to perform a physical when that had nothing to do with my appointment? Seems like you have a rogue doctor trying to be a hero on your staff..

I made an appointment online for a COVID-19 test due to exposure in my classroom. It was very convenient and easy to make my appointment online and set up an account. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment and was told by the person at the front desk to wait in my car and that I would get a phone call when they were ready for me. I received a phone call from the nurse about 30 minutes after that and she told me to come inside. She met me in the waiting room and took me back to the exam room. I noticed how neat and clean everything looked in the facility as I walked to the exam room. The nurse was very pleasant to work with. After she administered my test she told me that the provider would be in to give me some paperwork. Within minutes the provider came in to give me the paperwork. She was also very pleasant. As I was walking to my car received a text with my visit summary. I really like that I received text messages after I made my appointment, after I checked in and after I left my appointment. I definitely will recommend Physicians One in Hamden to friends and family.

Provider was very negative and told me that the rapid tests are all garbage. Not exactly what you want to hear especially when facilities are doing 100’s of these tests per day along with payments / insurance payments. Very unprofessional basically making it look like it’s nothing but a money maker. That’s the impression that I received from him!!!! Also told me that the “10 day quarantine” that both my husband and daughter received from Your facility is wrong and that HE goes by the CDC. I was only asking for clarification as to why they were told ten days and I was being told 14. He’s very contradictory to what your facility is telling patients.

The receptionist wasn’t the most pleasant. She wasn’t bad but. I was upset because my kids overheard the receptionist Ask if he had any symptoms and she said what symptoms do you have and he said all. Then he went and sat in one of the chairs. So now he had been sitting in the chair talking to the receptionist touching the pen that he had to sign with sitting in the room and not once did anyone clean in between. So if they thought he may have Covid it should have been clean before I went up. My kids whispered to me don’t sit in that chair. Then they told me afterwards. No normally if you have symptoms of Covid you sit out in your car. When I called and said I was in the parking lot she never asked me if we were symptoms or anything. Just come in. What’s the point of calling and telling them we are in the parking lot. He should have been tested outside he should not have even come in the building. I’ve had other family members get tested at other places And if they have even the sniffles they do not come in and they test them outside. I thought all the service was great but when I experienced that it makes me hesitant to come back

This was my second visit this week. Originally, I was there for a Covid test on Tuesday due to exposure at work. This time I was there for another Covid test but I had developed symptoms. While I waited a long time, it was due to the fact that they were helping so many patients & then cleaning the rooms in between. I did not see one staff member sitting idle the entire time I was there. I received exceptional care first from the nurse & then the practitioner. They were kind, caring & thorough. Sometimes when you go to a facility & there are so many people waiting staff will have a tendency to rush you out. I did not feel that way at all. If I could I would make the practioner I saw my primary care doctor because I have not been allowed to set foot in my doctor’s office since early February ***.

Beat walk in experience ever. Especially under these circumstances. Extremely efficient and friendly. It was a pleasure to get my testing done there.

I went in for a strep and COVID test and they were incredibly quick and kind. There was no wait when I used Solv to pre-book a time, and the test results were rapid. This is the first urgent care clinic that I’ve been to that has really listened to me. They prescribed antibiotics without doing a culture for strep (I have a history of negative rapid strep tests but positive cultures and it sucks having to be miserable to 2-5 more days to find out I do in fact have strep). Overall they really paid attention to me and my concerns. I didn’t even know this clinic existed but now that I do that’s where I’ll go for all of my urgent care needs!

This is my third COVID test appointment at this facility and the only issue I have is with the receptionist who sits at the front desk when you walk in. I do not know her name but she is EXTREMELY LOUD and as soon as you walk in she screams “CAN I HELP YOU?!” For one, I don’t like to be yelled at. Number two, whatever she is saying to me is not confidential at all. Whoever is in the waiting room can hear our entire conversation because she’s so loud. She needs to lower her voice and be more considerate of the people around her. Her greeting could be more gentle and respectful.

I had to give five stars because basically overall every time I go to Physician one, I have no problem.I would recommend, and I have already to friends,to go to Physician one.The person that came in to give me the test she, said to me nothing is free, Covid testing is not free .Covid testing is supposed to be for free, I wasn’t too crazy about her personality , I was asking her questions about the PCR that she said she was giving me and it seem like she was getting annoyed to answer questions. I didn’t understand right away .I am a school bus driver, you hear on the news testing is free. The Women ,that gave me the test I’ve never seen her there before and I didn’t get her name.

Staff members were kind. Quality of care recieved was efficient and adequate. Wait time was absurd. I checked in 20 minutes before my son's scheduled appointment and wasn't seen until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. That was OVER AN HOUR LONG WAIT. If we were walk ins, that would make sense to me, but this was a scheduled appointment. Waiting for over an hour with a five year old and an infant is quite difficult, and this is not the first time I've had a long wait with Physician One. I'll be trying out different locations for covid tests in the future.

The nurse Keirsha (sp?) was fabulous. She was so relatable and put me right at ease. The nurse practitioner was extremely thorough and helpful. They also got me right in and got the testing needed with speed.

The wait time was awful. My daughter was sent home from school because of possible COVID-19 symptoms. We needed to get a negative test so she could return to school. My wife called and was told yes walk in only before 5pm. We arrived at 11:30 am and was told noon. Came back at noon and was told maybe 1pm they would start. Returned at 1, huge line. Took 2 hours until called in. I don’t know why they aren’t taking appointments for the testing or letting you register ahead of time. The care once in was spectacular, great RN and great PA! Please fix the front of the house staff.

Greenwich Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
