I am always appreciative of the connivence this office offers.   Today I had a gentleman doctor and I thought although very upbeat and friendly, I was uncomfortable with the religious questions.  I personally believe there is a time and place, at this appointment was not it.  One, I didn’t feel well and the appointment should have stayed about that.  Two, he is  unaware of my circumstances and that was not the place.  I heard how he had converted, he asked me if I did, and it was very uncomfortable because again he had no idea of my circumstances A suggestion to possibly keep the appointment chatter on a lighter note. People coming in don’t feel well to begin with, any kind of heavy conversation may lead to some awkwardness (and it absolutely did).   Faith, and religion should be off the table for light conversation   Thank you.

About Gonorrhea Testing

Who should get tested for gonorrhea?

Any sexually active individual is at risk of contracting gonorrhea, particularly those with multiple sexual partners or those who do not use condoms consistently. According to the CDC, sexually active women under 25, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, should be tested for gonorrhea annually. Men who have sex with men should also be tested at least once a year.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for gonorrhea is crucial as it is a common sexually transmitted disease that can cause serious health problems if left untreated, including infertility in both men and women. Additionally, gonorrhea can increase one's risk of getting or transmitting HIV. Early detection through testing allows for effective treatment, reducing the risk of complications.
