The only thing I did not care for was the receptionist. She was a little snobbish and unwelcoming. However, everything else was very nice.

The nurse was friendly but not at all gentle in swabbing my nose for the pcr test. I let her know how much she was hurting me and I know it could have been done to the same effect a lot more gently. She also told me it would take 2-3 days to get pcr results. I was led to believe otherwise from your web site and the doctor who was very friendly came in after and said we should have it probably 24 hours.

About Gonorrhea Testing

Who should get tested for gonorrhea?

Individuals who are sexually active and fall within the age group of 25-40 years, particularly those with multiple sexual partners or those who do not use protection consistently, should consider getting tested for gonorrhea. According to the CDC, this sexually transmitted infection (STI) is most common in young people aged 15-24. However, anyone who is sexually active can contract gonorrhea, regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation.

Importance of getting tested

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease that can cause serious health problems if left untreated, including infertility in both men and women. Additionally, it can increase the risk of getting or transmitting HIV. Regular testing is crucial as many people with gonorrhea do not have any symptoms but can still spread the infection to others. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, reducing the risk of complications and further transmission.
