My 3 year old son was irritable because he did not feel good. The nurse was EXTREMELY rude. Seemed as if she was annoyed by my son who cannot help he does not feel good. Yes it is hard with a toddler but to hand me the 02 monitor because she gives up on getting it, I should have been paid to be the nurse at that point. The physician was very nice and helpful. I won’t be back due to the rudeness of the nurse.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus, or who is at risk for exposure, should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, received a blood transfusion before 1992, have a tattoo or piercing from an unregulated setting, or have traveled to countries where hepatitis is common. Furthermore, if you were born between 1945 and 1965, the CDC recommends getting tested for hepatitis C, as this age group is five times more likely to be infected.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, which can lead to severe liver damage. Early detection can prevent these complications and allow for effective treatment. Secondly, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. Lastly, certain populations, such as pregnant women, need to know their status to prevent transmission to their baby.

Hepatitis testing options in Lawrenceville, GA:

Prevalence of hepatitis in Lawrenceville

According to the CDC, the prevalence of hepatitis in Lawrenceville, GA, is consistent with national trends. However, it's important to note that hepatitis is often underreported due to its asymptomatic nature in many individuals. Therefore, the actual number of cases may be higher.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Lawrenceville

Risk factors for hepatitis in Lawrenceville, GA, mirror those at the national level. These include drug use, unprotected sex, and having a tattoo or piercing from an unregulated setting. Additionally, certain populations, such as immigrants from countries where hepatitis is common, may be at higher risk.

Other STDs in Lawrenceville
