I was able to walk in and get seen almost immediately, everyone was very friendly and I was out within 30 minutes. However, I was told I'd get a prescription sent over to the pharmacy and it seemed to not be sent even after calling to double check after getting to the pharmacy.

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood, semen, or other bodily fluids from a person infected with hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles or other drug-injection equipment, have had unprotected sex with an infected person, or have a mother who had hepatitis at the time of birth. Additionally, healthcare workers and people who live with someone who has hepatitis are also at risk and should consider testing.

Importance of getting tested

Hepatitis, particularly Hepatitis B and C, often shows no symptoms until the disease has progressed, making regular testing crucial for early detection and treatment. According to the Mayo Clinic, early detection can help prevent serious liver damage and the spread of the disease to others. Furthermore, testing allows healthcare providers to monitor the disease and adjust treatment as necessary.
