Woke up that morning with a sore throat and felt worst than then the day before. The provider was able to help me schedule an appointment with the primary care physician there because I didn't have one and have been looking for one. When the provider came into the room, I already knew I would need a PCP to prescribe me my nebulizer solution but she was kind of rude explaining it to me.

Scheduling was great, but in the middle of flu season the wait was long. But it was to be expected. Received good care and got what I needed. Will definitely return.

This is my 2nd time coming here. There are more availabilities here than my own PCP's office. Nasya was very nice and we even shared a couple of laughs! The entire staff was really kind. FNP Donald Boyle explained things to me and also listened to me as well.

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), anyone who has been exposed to the virus, or who is at high risk, should get tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who share needles or other drug-injecting equipment, those who have unprotected sex with an infected partner, and people with HIV. Additionally, healthcare and public safety workers exposed to blood on the job, and infants born to infected mothers should also be tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, such as liver disease, liver cancer, and cirrhosis. Early detection allows for immediate treatment which can slow the disease progression, prevent health complications, and reduce the risk of transmission. It is also important for those who are at risk to get vaccinated against hepatitis, particularly hepatitis A and B.

These include engaging in unprotected sex, sharing needles or other drug-injecting equipment, and having close contact with an infected person. It's important to note that certain behaviors can increase these risks, such as substance abuse and unprotected sex with multiple partners.

Other STDs in Sharon

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Sharon and the surrounding areas. These diseases often share similar risk factors with hepatitis, and co-infections are not uncommon. Therefore, regular testing for all STDs/STIs is recommended for those at risk.
