The staff at the front desk were so kind and happy. Everyone I encountered had a great attitude and listened well. I could tell they genuinely cared about helping me! The ladies who took my blood were so nice and comforting, same for the ladies who gave me a shot. I will definitely be going back there and telling others to do the same. I got there at 8:07 this morning and I was out by 9:17! Most urgent cares take hours.

Checking myself in through my phone and having to take and submit pictures of my license and insurance was a bit tedious. The wait was long but I was understanding of that, as it was a busy day. And Dr. Morgan is superb, I've used this clinic for many years just because of her. She is worth the wait. I felt heard and she well attended to my needs. The nursing staff and front desk were also extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this location to others. But next visit I will try to plan better for a less busy day.

I did a walk-in, so the scheduling wasn’t an issue at all. The staff was friendly.  They appeared to work very well together, and knew what they were doing.   They were confident and competent and efficient in their duties. I appreciate the provider for reminding me that I needed to lose weight(ha ha ha), as if I didn’t know that already. Nevertheless, he’s right and I am and have been working on it. Otherwise everyone was nice friendly seem to work as a team show that they were confident and competent in what they were doing. Overall good experience. Good work Team!!!

Staff was pleasant and professional. Scheduling was fine and e-paperwork was easy. Our only issue was with check-in upon arrival. Scheduled appt ahead of time, arrived at our appointment time, checked in with front desk and paid co-pay, told we would be called back shortly. Received confirmation of check-in 50 min after appointment time. It’s not an unbearable time to wait but in the moment with a child burning in fever and weak, it felt like an eternity especially seeing later arrivals called back. I do understand some cases are more urgent than others. Staff addressed my concern and called us back within 20 minutes of bringing it to their attention. Front desk receptionist said it was an issue with moving our appointment from one screen to another. We were treated with care and were well on our way within 30 minutes of being called back. Total time 2 hours. Not too bad. Just make sure you receive a text confirmation that you’ve been checked-in.

I did notice at the CALERA, Alabama there were an unhealthy number of ants crawling around the patient examination room.  And needs an overall deep cleaning. The physician care was very thorough and informative! The attending nurse was very knowledgeable and curtious, well spoken and polite. Rates an A+.

Getting Tested for STDs in Fairfield, AL

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), especially if they have multiple partners or are not using protection consistently. According to the CDC, certain groups are at a higher risk and should get tested regularly. These include sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and anyone with HIV. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as some STDs can have serious effects on the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. First, many STDs do not show symptoms, so you could be infected and not know it. Second, untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, including infertility, cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Lastly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to others.

Std testing options in Fairfield, AL:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics are a convenient option for STD testing in Fairfield, AL. These facilities often offer same-day or next-day appointments, which can be booked through Solv’s website and mobile app. Two highly-rated options in the area include Physicians Care in Hoover, AL, both of which have received high ratings for their short wait times and friendly staff.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also provide STD testing. This can be a good option if you have a long-standing relationship with your provider, as they are familiar with your health history. However, appointments may not be available as quickly as at an urgent care or walk-in clinic.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those without insurance or who are unable to afford testing, free STD testing may be available at community health centers in and around Fairfield. It's important to check with each center for their testing schedule and any eligibility requirements.

At-home testing

At-home STD testing kits are another option. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for testing. Results are typically available within a few days.
