Melanie went out of her way to accommodate my husband and me when we came in to get Covid tests. Due to our unforeseen scheduling error, we didn't have an appointment at that time, but she said we could wait in case she could fit us in between patients, even though they were fully booked. She was able to complete our tests quickly and courteously. We were extremely pleased with the care we received. Thanks, Melanie!

Had impacted ear wax removed. (I had a hearing test previously at another place who told me I’d have to go to an ENT to remove it.) Everything from the ease of scheduling to checking in was very efficient. There was very little wait time and all of the staff of kind and professional.

I made my appointment online and was able to get an appointment for two hours later. Once there, I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen, but luckily my schedule allowed for the wait. Perhaps the Staff needed more time with other patients. I received the care I needed, and I recommend this Clinic.

Getting Tested for STDs in South San Francisco, CA

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, are not consistently using protection, or are experiencing symptoms of an STD. However, it's crucial to remember that some STDs may not show any symptoms at all, making regular testing important for everyone. According to the CDC, certain groups, such as sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and individuals with HIV, should get tested more frequently.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a vital part of maintaining your health and the health of your sexual partners. Early detection and treatment can prevent many of the serious long-term health consequences associated with STDs, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Regular testing also helps to reduce the spread of these diseases, as many people with STDs are unaware they are infected and can unknowingly transmit the disease to others.
