After 3 days of not feeling well went to our nearest AFC UC and was greeted with friendly faces and helpful staff. Confirmed my illness with testing by Breyahana and meds sent to my pharmacy (although not a lot of explanation about meds by NP Perry - just advised to take them b/c of age related to diagnosis.) In/out in less than 35 minutes. Overall satisfied with our visit!

Getting Tested for STDs in Kings Mountain, NC

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing as part of their overall health regimen. This is particularly important for individuals with multiple sexual partners, those who engage in unprotected sex, or have a partner who has tested positive for an STD. It's also crucial for pregnant women, as untreated STDs can have serious health implications for both the mother and the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Early detection and treatment of STDs can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Regular testing also helps to control the spread of these diseases, as many people with STDs are asymptomatic and may unknowingly transmit the infection to others.
