Came in for pain with my left shoulder radiating under my arm on my arm and down my left side. Saw Dr.Lynch who was absolutely wonderful.she advised me to get a cat scan and MRI which is scheduled. Gave me a shot and a muscle relaxer started feeling better within a short period of time. The facility is so clean beautifully decorated and the staff were amazing and so helpful. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism and knowledge. They have long hours which is so convenient. If I ever need to go to an Urgent Care again it would be here. Thank you

My visit required a follow up later in the afternoon, which was botched up at each step. Different prescriptions were supposed to be sent to the pharmacy that never came over and by the time they did come over the pharmacy closed hours later. Then the prescription that was resent was the same one as earlier in the day and the insurance company refused to cover it obviously. Communication and follow through was horrible.

I will say, time and time again, this is my go to place for any kind of testing. I never have to wait, I usually schedule a day or two before and am often seen early due to no one being there. Staff and providers are super friendly, helpful, and extremely quick with what they need to do which allows for less time waiting in the exam rooms. Testing is also extremely fast, I have gotten tests before and then have heard back a day later. Will recommend to anyone looking for quick access to medical care.

The staff was cordial and vey helpful. The check-in was easy enough with a little help from the receptionist . The doctor or PA listened to the issues and recommended what was needed. In my case, I needed an antibiotic which I’m taking 2 x per day. Also recommended nasal spray and Tylenol. She was extremely sympathetic and caring . This prompt MD was better than my previous one in Edgewater.

Getting Tested for STDs in Hackensack, NJ

Who should get tested for STDs?

Everyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), regardless of their age, gender, or sexual orientation. This includes individuals who are in monogamous relationships, as an STD can remain dormant and undetected for years. It's especially crucial for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or share needles for drug use to get tested regularly. According to the CDC, certain groups, such as young adults and men who have sex with men, are at a higher risk and should get tested more frequently.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is an essential part of maintaining your overall health. Many STDs do not show symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly pass the disease to others. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, which can prevent long-term health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, organ damage, and in severe cases, death. Regular testing also helps to control the spread of these diseases, protecting the health of the wider community.

Prevalence of STDs in Hackensack

Hackensack, located in Bergen County, NJ, has seen a steady rise in STD cases over the past few years, mirroring a national trend. According to the CDC, the most common STDs in the area include chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Compared to nearby counties such as Hampshire County and Worcester County, Bergen County has a higher rate of STDs. This could be due to a variety of factors, including population density and access to healthcare services.

Risk factors related to STDs in Hackensack

Several risk factors contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Hackensack. These include high rates of unprotected sex, multiple sexual partners, and lack of regular testing. Socioeconomic factors such as poverty, lack of education about STDs, and limited access to healthcare services also play a role. To combat these risk factors, it's crucial to promote regular testing, safe sex practices, and education about STDs within the community.
