I woke up yesterday morning not feeling well and my primary care physician was unable to take me. Fortunately, I was able to go to Atlantic Health Urgent Care in Cedar Knolls. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Wait time was a bit long, but that is to be expected at this time of year. I was home with a diagnosis in about an hour. Thanks for all of your help!

I understand the wait time being long but the receptionist could not even give me an estimated wait time and that makes a big difference when you have a cranky baby. She also didn't know how to print me a detailed itemized receipt and asked me to call back tomorrow. The PA though was super super nice and helpful.

Made an appointment for 12;40 was called in after 2pm. I was not a walk in, maybe 2 people ahead of me so I could not understand the wait. Just to check in I waited on line for over 20 minutes while the person checking in was filling out her forms sitting at the check in desk!

Very disappointed with the care I got. Wait time was yover hour half. When I finally got called in they were nice to me. They took my vitals then covid and strep test. Waited for results which were negative. After that they didn't provide anything for my cough or sore throat. They really didn't do anything for me at all. It was a waste of time and money that I will be charged. I will reach out to my Dr tomorrow for help.

This was my first personal visit to an Urgent Care facility in my lifetime. I was impressed by the ease of scheduling and care. Very happy that you had access to My Chart records and medications, etc. The staff were nice but did not introduce themselves.  The MD might have but I didn’t catch his name due to his soft voice.  Otherwise I was very pleased with my visit.

I had not been prescribed the antibiotics I needed in two visits to Summit and, as a result, was suffering through day six, repeat six! of a horrible upper respiratory tract infection that had me bedridden and getting worse. You gave me a rx for amox and now 24 hrs later I am vastly improved up and about. Thank you! It is not a coincidence- it is not that a virus ran its course - I was getting worse not better until you've me the rx.

Staff is great, not long waiting period at all. But, the physician assistant is a terrible listener and has no idea of what she's doing. Maybe she was overwhelmed. We all have bad days but, she's suspect.

Getting Tested for STDs in Morristown, NJ

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, sexually active individuals, particularly those with multiple partners, should get tested for STDs regularly. It's also crucial for pregnant women to get tested as STDs can have severe health consequences for both the mother and the baby. People who engage in unprotected sex or share injection drug equipment should also consider regular testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is vital for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs don't show symptoms, so you could be infected without knowing it. Secondly, early detection often leads to more effective treatment. Lastly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of STDs to others.

Std testing options in Morristown, NJ:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care centers and walk-in clinics are convenient options for STD testing in Morristown. They often offer same-day appointments, which can be booked through Solv’s website and mobile app. One such location is the Neighborhood Urgent Care in Hanover, NJ.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another good option for STD testing. They can provide ongoing care and counseling about STD prevention. However, appointments may need to be booked in advance.

Free STD testing and community health centers

There are also free STD testing services and community health centers in Morristown. These centers provide testing to individuals regardless of their ability to pay.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another option for STD testing. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.

Prevalence of STDs in Morristown

The prevalence of STDs in Morristown, like the rest of the country, is on the rise. According to the CDC, there has been an increase in the number of reported STD cases in recent years. This trend is similar to what is being observed in nearby cities such as Morris Plains, Madison, and Florham Park, and in nearby counties like Hampshire and Worcester.

Risk factors related to STDs in Morristown

Risk factors for STDs in Morristown include unprotected sex, multiple sexual partners, and sharing of injection drug equipment. Other factors, such as the lack of awareness about STDs and limited access to healthcare, could also contribute to the high prevalence of STDs in the area.
