I went in because I’ve been feeling terrible trying to fight what I thought was a bad cold. When I arrived, Brittney, who has a wonderful attitude, got me all checked in and I didn’t wait long at all to be seen. Jalyn helped me get ready to see the doctor and she was so kind and helpful. Dr. John Davis was absolutely wonderful and made me feel better just by being in the room. He asked me questions about how I have been feeling and was able to diagnose me quickly. He was so incredibly nice and helpful. I was out of there in no time and I have your awesome team of professionals to thank for that! I will definitely return should the need arise in the future!

Great urgent care! They accepted both my primary and secondary insurance. You can walk in or set up an appointment on line. Quickly tap in your arrival notice on the couple of screens provided. The wait was then minimal, the staff always meet you with a smile and the facility is beautiful. I saw a knowledgeable nurse practitioner who was very attentive and concerned with my leaving with all my needs addressed. When I had an issue that the pharmacy I requested was closed, I was able to quickly have them reroute the meds to one that was open. This will be my go-to location for urgent care when my PCP is not available.

My son was showing signs of an eye infection and we were able to make an appointment within a couple hours to go in. The staff was incredibly friendly and took great care of him. Our only issue was that we waited over an hour past our appointment time before seeing anyone. Not sure why they still have appointments showing as available if they are running so far behind in schedule, and they don’t provide a ton of updates or information about how long the wait would be.

Was sent home from school with 101.4 temperature the day before.   Temperature kept rising and it hurt to breathe, laugh or cough.   Since I’m asthmati, I knew it was either bronchitis or pleurisy which I get every winter.   A coworker raved about this place so I dropped in!   Not disappointed!

Getting Tested for STDs in Montgomery, TX

Who should get tested for STDs?

In Montgomery, TX, as is the case across the United States, anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes individuals who are in a monogamous relationship, as well as those who have multiple partners. It is especially important for those who have unprotected sex, share needles for drug use, or have a partner who has tested positive for an STD to get tested. According to the CDC, regular testing is also recommended for men who have sex with men, as they are at higher risk for certain types of STDs.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for a number of reasons. For one, many STDs do not show symptoms, meaning you could be infected and not know it. This not only puts your health at risk, but also the health of your sexual partners. Early detection through testing can lead to quicker treatment, which can prevent serious health complications down the line. Additionally, knowing your STD status can help you make informed decisions about your sexual health and protect your partners from potential infection.

There are several urgent care and walk-in clinics in Montgomery that offer STD testing. These include Baylor Scott & White Partner and Memorial Hermann- GoHealth Urgent Care. With Solv, you can book same-day and next-day appointments at these clinics.

Prevalence of STDs in Montgomery

The prevalence of STDs in Montgomery is a concern. According to the CDC, Montgomery County has seen an increase in STD cases in recent years, mirroring a national trend. The most common STDs in the area are chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Compared to nearby counties such as Hill County and Calcasieu Parish, Montgomery has a higher rate of STDs.

Risk factors related to STDs in Montgomery

Several factors contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Montgomery. These include a lack of comprehensive sex education, limited access to healthcare, and socioeconomic factors such as poverty and drug use. Additionally, stigma around STD testing can prevent people from getting tested and treated. It's important to note that anyone who is sexually active is at risk for STDs, regardless of age, race, or socioeconomic status.
