I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

Lab testing
I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Thank you to the staff of Hometown Urgent Care in Xenia, OH. I've been researching places that are doing COVID testing. I was so happy to see that testing was happening in a location that I pass every day. With easy-to-adhere-to safety precautions in place, like remaining in your car to fill out the intake form and then waiting for your turn to be seen, this was a breezy testing venture. Staff was friendly and helpful. The nurse was very good-natured over the phone and in person and answered all my questions. The place is very clean with all the safety measures in place. The doctor was super nice, made me feel heard, listened to my concerns, and was so skilled at administering the nasal swab. Zip zop zoop. A little discomfort for maybe 3 seconds. Just like he described -- it's like when you're swimming and you get salt water up your nose. The exact same feeling. No big deal. I was so sorry I had been so scared of this test and reluctant to get it. This was my first visit and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are doing such a wonderful service to your community and in such a pleasant and non-frightening way. You are my heroes. Keep up the outstanding work! Thank you!!!

My children and I love Doctor Berwin Miller and the staff at Merita Health 1981 Granville Pike in Lancaster, Ohio. My daughter and I went here after a horrific visit at another urgent care the day before with my son. A friend referred us. Anyways i ended up making Doctor Berwin Miller my children's primary care doctor. They love Doctor Berwin. He is the only doctor who has been able to give my 11 year old daughter a flu shot in a few years now. She is scared to death of needles. He was able to calm her down. When we first met him she was sick and he was so amazing with her. After that first visit with Doctor Berwin my 11 year daughter said can he be my family doctor and so i cancelled their annual check ups with who they had been seeing and scheduled them with Doctor Berwin. I just did a walk in yesterday for being sick to see Doctor Berwin and i still have my PCP doctor. I could not get in to see my doctor so i went to see my kids doctor instead and got what i needed and today i am already feeling better. I had a ear infection and cold. Very red throat. Anyways i recommend Doctor Berwin highly for anyone. And the staff is just as amazing!!!

Hometown was super clean and inviting. The staff was very kind and cool and made me feel at home. The nurse and Doctor who saw me were so kind. I hurt my arm and they did a super low cost in-house x-ray and took care of the sprain in office. Then called to follow up a few days later to see how I was feeling. I was really impressed with how caring they were. I don't have a PCP and will definitely be going back. I saved so much money compared to the ER.

Getting tested for Tuberculosis

A tuberculosis test identifies whether or not you've ever been infected. It won't tell you whether your illness is current or latent, but it will tell you if you've had this bacterial infection before.

A tuberculosis test can be performed on the skin or in the blood. Neither test necessitates any extra preparation.

During the skin test, the TB test provider injects a small protein called PPD beneath the first layer of your skin. A positive reaction to PPD, which is generated from tuberculosis bacteria, can indicate that you have had tuberculosis. After 48 to 72 hours, the TB test provider will request that you return to the clinic so that the injection site may be thoroughly checked to confirm or rule out a positive result.

During the blood test, the TB test practitioner takes a small sample of blood from your arm with a tiny needle. Following that, your sample is sent to a lab for examination and determination of whether or not you have tuberculosis.

When you have TB symptoms, you should get a tuberculosis test. Fever, chest pain, exhaustion, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, a cough that lasts at least three weeks, and coughing up blood are all symptoms of tuberculosis.

A tuberculosis test may be ordered if you are deemed to be at high risk for tuberculosis. A weaker immune system, contact with people who have tuberculosis, or travel to a country where tuberculosis is common are all risk factors for tuberculosis. Furthermore, some employers, including healthcare facilities, correctional facilities, and people who work or volunteer at homeless shelters, require employees to receive tuberculosis tests on a regular basis.
