Called the center as a walk in and was able to schedule an appointment right away! All staff were friendly from the desk receptionist to the nursing/doctor staff. I was treated fairly and with care and all of my concerns were addressed properly. Wait times may vary depending on the time and day as I went after work around 5:30pm, but everything was quick between the paperwork and the visit! I would definitely recommend this location and I will be returning in the future if need be!

I walked in on Thanksgiving morning and saw the doctor with no delay or problem.  I didn’t have an appt. I was very pleased at how fast the process was and the attentiveness of the staff and doctor.  So happy to know they are close by!

Misdiagnosed by NP. She was very unprofessional and inexperienced and did not listen to my concerns. I had to seek competent care elsewhere to receive a correct diagnosis and treatment.

Our family’s PCP’s never have same-day appts available so we always go to this facility for our urgent care. Dr. Ishmael is always friendly and thorough. We haven’t had to experience long waits. We like that we can log in to secure an appt slot.

Staff was friendly, attentive, painfully honest (shots to numb my finger for the procedure were painful just like the Dr. said they would be which I appreciated, not tolerating shots very well), and provided a quick solution for my problem.

Check in person was kind and patient with me while trying to complete online paperwork. I was feeling so horrible, I really didn’t have the patience or the energy to do it online. She was kind and handed me a clip board with quick forms that I was able to sign since they already had everything else. I really appreciate it.

The only negative thing I have to say is I didn't know about setting the appt. up online. The people are great and the care is awesome. When I can't see my personal physician Prime Urgent takes care of me. Thank you for being there for me.

I am a person who regularly receives B12 and vitamin shots as well as IV infusions. I had the worst experience this week when it was my first time visiting neumed modern urgent care. The doctor was very rude, did not have a gentle hand, after stabbing me three times to get my bulging vein,  they realize Metal stand that holds the IV bag is broken and that it's the only one in the facility. I have to get up from previously laying down on the table and walk all the way through their facility in pain after being stuck three times because they have one stand to hold an IV bag, don't make the mistake of going here. My arm still hurts and I didn't feel much of a difference.

AFC Urgent Care Clinic was clean, sterile in feel; fitted with the latest in tech design and equipment; organized procedurally; staffed with friendly, helpful, serious people. The doctor assigned to me far exceeded my expectations. She made me feel as if I were her sole concern, would like to keep her. I felt I was receiving the best of care. I do not have a primary care physician; however, this experience was so far removed from having to visit a doctor’s office. I did require urgent medical attention; the convenience of a walk-in clinic surpassed not having a PCP, especially when the care I received was excellent, as this was.

We had the best experience. Wonderful staff, and our regular pediatrician happened to be on duty that day. We didn’t wait long. We will be back again the next time we have an urgent care need.

Getting tested for Tuberculosis

A tuberculosis test identifies whether or not you've ever been infected. It won't tell you whether your illness is current or latent, but it will tell you if you've had this bacterial infection before.

A tuberculosis test can be performed on the skin or in the blood. Neither test necessitates any extra preparation.

During the skin test, the TB test provider injects a small protein called PPD beneath the first layer of your skin. A positive reaction to PPD, which is generated from tuberculosis bacteria, can indicate that you have had tuberculosis. After 48 to 72 hours, the TB test provider will request that you return to the clinic so that the injection site may be thoroughly checked to confirm or rule out a positive result.

During the blood test, the TB test practitioner takes a small sample of blood from your arm with a tiny needle. Following that, your sample is sent to a lab for examination and determination of whether or not you have tuberculosis.

When you have TB symptoms, you should get a tuberculosis test. Fever, chest pain, exhaustion, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, a cough that lasts at least three weeks, and coughing up blood are all symptoms of tuberculosis.

A tuberculosis test may be ordered if you are deemed to be at high risk for tuberculosis. A weaker immune system, contact with people who have tuberculosis, or travel to a country where tuberculosis is common are all risk factors for tuberculosis. Furthermore, some employers, including healthcare facilities, correctional facilities, and people who work or volunteer at homeless shelters, require employees to receive tuberculosis tests on a regular basis.

When you take the TB skin test, a huge bump will appear on your arm at the injection site if you have had a TB infection.
