Had to bring the kids in because they were still struggling with the current virus that won't get better. I dropped in and was still seen in about 7 min. I only waited in the room about 3 min before a NP saw the children. She took her time with each of them and listened to our complaints. She explained her plan of care and made time for the kids questions as well as mine. I was pleased with the care she provided and our medicine was called in timely.

I'm very appreciative of the clinic in the neighborhood, which makes it very convenient. This visit was not our first with Little Spurs and I love I can bring my daughter in and been seen very quick. The staff n doctors are always so kind. The doctors listen to the reason for visit and I've never had any issues with my child's health after leaving. Their hours are very convenient as well.

Scheduled an appointment for my daughter at this location because I was closer. Every one from the reception staff to the medical assistant were extremely helpful and caring. Through the walls I could hear the doctor with other patients. The same gentle and caring manner she had with my daughter, she had with the other children. I will continue to recommend Little Spurs to other parents.

Had pain in my left foot after a fall. Broke it. Very nice nurse, doctor and xray tech.. bathroom needed attention. No paper towels or hand sanitizer. Needed hand sanitizer and kleenex in waiting room. This will be my go-to non-ER facility. Lots better than Texas Med clinic.

The wait takes a little while but honestly that’s to be expected when you’re at any hospital or clinic. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. Always a very clean clinic. Only thing I would recommend is to turn the tv down in the lobby. When you’re ill and or having a headache all day the last thing you want to hear is the tv blaring. Thanks bunches ladies

Scheduling ahead was super easy though we still had to wait quite a bit longer than I expected (Id say about 30-40mins?). Staff is always very friendly, never felt rushed once we did get to see the DR. Always a good experience, despite waiting we were in and out in just over an hour. Overall, our experience was great.

About Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Testing

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Testing is a diagnostic test that helps identify the presence of bacteria or other pathogens in the urinary system. UTIs are common infections that can affect the bladder, kidneys, ureters, or urethra. This testing plays a crucial role in the accurate and timely diagnosis of UTIs, allowing healthcare providers to prescribe appropriate treatment and prevent complications.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in San Antonio, Texas, and experience symptoms such as frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, cloudy or bloody urine, or pelvic pain, UTI Testing is recommended. UTIs can affect individuals of all ages, but they are more common in women. Additionally, those with risk factors such as urinary catheter use, urinary tract abnormalities, or a history of UTIs may also benefit from testing.

Tests Included in UTI Testing

UTI Testing typically involves:

  • Urinalysis (UA): A test that examines a urine sample for the presence of white blood cells, red blood cells, bacteria, and other indicators of infection.
  • Urine Culture: A test that identifies the specific bacteria causing the infection and helps determine the most effective antibiotic for treatment.

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of UTI Testing results involves analyzing the presence of bacteria or other pathogens in the urine sample. Positive results indicate a urinary tract infection, while negative results may require further investigation to rule out other potential causes of symptoms.

Importance of UTI Testing

UTI Testing is essential for:

  • Prompt diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract infections
  • Preventing the spread of infection to the kidneys and other parts of the urinary system
  • Identifying the most effective antibiotic for treatment
  • Managing recurrent UTIs and underlying risk factors

Following the Test

After UTI Testing, healthcare providers will discuss the results with individuals and prescribe appropriate treatment if a UTI is confirmed. It is crucial to follow the prescribed medication regimen and drink plenty of fluids to flush out the infection.

UTI Testing is a valuable tool for identifying and treating urinary tract infections promptly, ensuring optimal urinary health and well-being for individuals in San Antonio, Texas.
