I had a rash or some kind of allergic reaction.   The PA diagnosed the symptom quickly by looking at my arm and stomach.   He said I had an allergic reaction to poison ivy and ordered a steroid shot as well as medicated cream and tablets I need to take for six days.   He was very professional.   After a day . . .,The rash is already healing.

I was so happy about the location being so close to my house. Was good parking available and was seen in about 30 minutes. The nurse took my blood for my blood test and was patience enough because my blood was low. I had a good experience. Thank you.

Booked online, waited about 10 mins. Got seen, they were worried that I needed more care so they sent me to a specialist. I thought that was an amazing way to show me that they care about my well-being.

My son had a stomach ache that would come and go for almost a week, and it wasn't getting better. The staff was amazing and listened to our concerns and was impeccable for care. She ordered a couple of tests to rule out a few things, come to find, he has Strep B! No signs, and his throat was clean without infections. I'll tell you what, this is the best Urgent Care I've ever been to and I include the ER with it too. My son felt comfortable and was happy when we left. Sick and happy is a wild concept.

Sparkling Clean

I couldn't get in to see my primary care physician for 2 days, so I decided to go to the MinuteClinic in Red Oak, Texas. I walked in at 4:00 p.m., checked in and was seen right away by Bene Aneke. She was very compassionate and thorough. I didn't feel rushed at all. She confirmed that I had a sinus infection, had my prescription sent to the pharmacy and I was walking out of there with medication at 4:30. I had a very good experience and I would go back again. I highly recommend MinuteClinic in Red Oak, Texas!

About Tetanus Shots

A tetanus shot is used to prevent tetanus, also known as lockjaw. Tetanus is a bacterial infection that can lead to painful muscle spasms, and oftentimes, death. Adults in the US have to be vaccinated against tetanus because there's currently no cure for it and roughly 10 to 20 percent of victims die from tetanus. Symptoms of tetanus come from a toxin produced by tetanus bacteria and usually begin appearing about a week after the infection occurs. The most common symptom is muscle stiffness that begins in the jaw and spreads to the neck, arms, legs, or abdomen, but other symptoms include trouble swallowing, headache, fever and sweating, irritability and restlessness, high blood pressure, palpitations, and muscle spasms in the face.

It's important to get treated for tetanus as soon as you know you're infected because if it's not treated quickly enough, you can die from suffocation. Tetanus shots are given in the shoulder muscle. If you've never had a tetanus shot before, you might be given a three-dose primary series. You'll get the first dose as a three-in-one combination called Tdap that prevents tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and diphtheria (Td). The other two doses will usually be a dual vaccine and you'll receive them over a 7 to 12 month period. You should receive a tetanus vaccine between 2 months and 6 years old, as well as a teenager and an adult. Pregnant women might need a tetanus shot during the third trimester of pregnancy.
