Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I was able to choose a Labcorp location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

I love the capability to register for an appointment. It was so wonderful to schedule a time, show up 5 minutes before and, give my name and before even sitting down have my name called, age the blood drawn and be out to my car in less than 15 minutes! So I rate the service as top notch.

Easy check in and front desk was very nice and efficient. I normally have to wait 15 minutes to 30 minutes to get blood work on a early morning fasting lab. I did not wait more than 15 minutes. The phlebotomist that obtained my labs was super kind and friendly and efficient! I am a nurse and I like to see that great patient care. I wish I would’ve got her name. Keep up the good work Compunet staff!

The iPod sign-in process took longer than expected and slowed the line. It would be much faster to have a simple paper sign-in to get everyone through the door. People were getting upset that clients were trying to push ahead of them because they had pre-scheduled appointments but still couldn’t push their way into the waiting room. The waiting room itself had 4 open seats. It would be easier to stand and socially distance if the unused chairs were removed to clear up standing space. On a positive note, once I got in for my bloodwork draw, the process was very organized and efficient. I work in a healthcare setting as well and COVID is causing challenges for all of us. Maybe a ‘host’ Employee could travel through the morning line to get people signed it quicker than relying on their iPad sign-in skills. That way, people could stay socially distanced, get their name on the list, pre-scheduled clients could be brought to the front of the line, and the process could run more efficiently and with less stress.

The staff were super professional and kind... I apparently don't do well with needles and passed out after my blood draw, but my phlebotomist handled everything super well and made sure I was comfortable and safe and made sure I felt a lot better. Everything else was fine too-- the cleanliness, the wait time was short... Mostly just impressed with my phlebotomist though

I feel like we got into the back in a decent amount of time. Scheduled appointment was *** and we went back around ***ish. The nurse/tech in triage was a little aggressive and never made eye contact. But did his job. I will say, I did not appreciate him trying to rip off the blood pressure cuff off my 3 year olds arm and a shocking my child. The APN was very to the point. I understand it’s an urgent care but it was definitely a different experience then the pediatricians office.

The receptionist and doctor were great. The person taking my son’s blood pressure was not. She gave us wrong information- she was trying to tell me my son had all the symptoms of Covid, especially the bloodshot eyes. In fact, professionals at Children’s Hospital told us bloodshot eyes are NOT a symptom of Covid. (He did not in fact, have Covid). When I mentioned his symptoms were also representative of influenza she said they weren’t. She didn’t seem to appreciate us being there and did not say thank you even once.

Super friendly people. I have a port and since you don’t access ports they had to find a vein to use. They were very patient in taking time to find a vein they thought would be successful while being apologetic. The ‘vein whisperer’ found a vein to use and it all worked out great! I had a student in the room today hence the ‘they.’ The student went first and found a few veins she thought would work and then staff member drew the blood.

I was there two days in a row. On Wednesday when I was there I believe the tech's name was Christie, not sure. She was great. Very friendly and the blood draw was pretty much painless and no bruising at all. When I went back on Thursday I had an equally pleasant experience. The tech was Jamie and she too was great. Very personable and friendly. Again pretty much painless and no bruising at all. Wish you could request the tech who does your blood draw.

Aaliyah and Rachel went above and beyond to help my blood draw as smooth as possible. Aaliyah seems like a 15 year professional. She made sure to do everything possible to prevent me from passing out. I made it out completely anxious free and would like her every time going forward. What a pro team. Five Star review from someone who wakes up with HOURS of anxiety prior to the draw. The check in process was super quick. I booked through Solv which was so easy and I got a next day appointment. There was a one minute wait time. Everything was so amazing. I can’t recommend Aaliyah enough.

I had to come in for bloodwork & since I was there I asked if they had time to do my Cat scan that I have scheduled a week from today on the 16, they did. Did my paperwork, was on hold with the billing center from Las Vegas as I had credit of about $664 with NN, I wanted Them to use it towards my scan & labs for today, had my blood drawn, went upstairs to have my scan done. Used then option for the billing center to call me back as I needed to check in with imaging. Had my scan done was waiting for the disc to be copied. NN billing called me back my credit was returned on the 2nd but may not be credited. That lady told me to check with imaging for the cost, imaging didn’t do bit she called down & found out who i needed to talk to in admitting. Went to admitting she checked & I owe zero for my procedures as I have met all my deductible. The people were so courteous. Oh while I was waiting to go for the cat scan I asked how long would I need to wait as I was cold & needed to run to my car to get a blanket, she said your next any minute, let me run & get you a warm blanket. Everyone was so kind. Also in admitting the young lady was looking for my approval slip from insurance I said I had gotten a letter approving it, I had my husband take a pic of it & he texted it then the admitting lady emailed it to herself & I was ready. Everyone went out of their way to Provide excellent service & they were all caring & professional. Thank you

My husband and I had been to several specialists over the past months in an attempt to find answers to his chronic illness. Within two hours, we saw a caring doctor, had a full chest and abdomen CT scan, had a complete blood test, and got a better idea of what’s going on in his body than we did in several months time! We appreciate the kindness and compassion that was shown from the first person who took my call, to the last. I would absolutely recommend Guidewell to anyone who needed emergency care.

Great experience. Very professional staff. You can get all the tests needed in house: CT, blood work, etc. Clean and brand new facility. Extremely well equipped. Exceptional bedside manners. I strongly recommend this Guidewell Emergency Care facility. The experience is like being seen in a Hospital Emergency Room setting, but without the wait and it is very affordable.

At the Main floor talked to a woman and policemen where were very courteous. I entered Dr. Kahalih’s outer office and the receptionist was very nice. I was directed to have blood work done. The drawing of blood was very pleasant. Then Dr.Kahalia Nurse Summer took stats. The doctor was very pleasant and professional. Dr Kaliha has helped me over the years with pain issues.

My phlebotomist for my 3/8/21 appointment was AMAZING! I REALLY wish I'd asked her name! I have a lot of scar tissue in my left elbow (which happens to be the favorite place to draw blood). Two weeks ago, I gave blood at CBC. Literally felt like a pipe was pushed into my arm through every section of scar tissue. Today, I did not even feel the 'slight pinch' they usually warn you about! I truly didn't even know the needle was in my arm until I turned. (I'm the patient that has to look away from the needle. LOL) I let her know my extreme appreciation but wanted to let her corporation AND hopefully her leadership that you have a fantastic employee!!

Mechanical. Little if any personality offered by the attending physician. Acted like I was asking for permission to pull his teeth when I asked for a prescription for my blood pressure, which only minutes before, they had informed me was 170/115. Maybe I simply imagined it, but I could have sworn I felt a tremble as Hippocrates rolled over.

The Doctor was wonderful, she has a terrific bedside manner . I was very nervous being tested , blood pressure was high and your Doctor was patient , very understanding . She took my blood pressure again , listened to my heart and breathing. She was very reassuring, along with the young man that works with her . I wasn’t embarrassed or judged , thank you for your professionalism and kind way.

I have breathing issues and a note from my doctor that I am medically exempt from wearing a mask. I wore a shield to show I am following the guidelines as best I can, but in certain environments (no air circulation, hear and humidity) I cannot breathe. When the waiting room was empty, and I took the shield off because I was beginning struggle to breathe and feel light headed. The staff at the front began talking about how I needed to wear a mask (Yes, you can hear everything through the not soundproof glass), and called me up to the window. I replaced my shield before I went up to the window. The staff asked me to wear a mask. I said, “I can try, but I have a note from doctor saying I can’t wear one.” They said they would ask the technician if she was okay with that, and asked me to wear the shield in the empty waiting room. I put the shield back on, but I was very much struggling to breathe. Thankfully, the wait was short. The technician was very kind and very good (I hardly felt the blood draw), but I was really struggling to breathe by this point! She could see something was wrong and began asking if I was okay. By this time I was in tears, and hardly able to talk. I shook my head to let her know the issue was not with the blood draw. I was finally able to tell her that my breathing was the problem. I raced out of the building and into the cold air as quickly as possible. The incident caused a panic attack and took 15 minutes to get my breathing under control. I understand the mask mandate but there is a medical exemption. Please be more considerate of those who have one. I could have passed out and no one would have understood why because they didn’t take the time to listen.

Had blood drawn for a PSA test my Dr. requested. Everything about my Compunet visit went great from start to finish. Student was a little nervous but I believe everyone needs opportunity to be trained. She did a great job and got the vein on the first attempt. I was impressed and I let her know she did great. * After she was done I also let her know that previous nurses have had trouble getting a vein on me. Thx Ken H.

excellent location, lab staff are friendly and experienced. person who drew my blood was excellent ( and i have frequent blood draws and have experienced leas than stellar care at other UH labs). This location is my go to for lab work and radiation. wait time was zero as i make it a point to go at off hours however, inwas seen immediately upon checking in. makes it really easy to get in and out.

The girl that took my blood pressure was NOT friendly at all. She was almost rude and rather abrupt in her movements (the way she put the clip on my finger and then snatched it off my finger, how she wrapped the BP cuff and kind of tossed my arm onto the piece of equipment that I was seated next to, etc… very rough/harsh as though she was annoyed by something.). Maybe something pissed her off right before I was called back? The other interactions I had were fine. I told your phlebotomist that people have trouble finding the veins in both my arms. I asked her to use the vein on top of my hand. She wanted to try my arm anyway. She was unable to get the needle in my vein and ended up having to draw the blood from my hand. Next time I will just insist that they listen to me rather than allowing anyone to dig around in my arm. However, she was very nice, very professional and friendly.

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Westlake-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.

Blood Test FAQs

  • Where can I get a blood test in Westlake?

In general, blood tests are available at Westlake-area medical labs, urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and many local pharmacies. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you have your blood work results sooner.

  • How can I book a blood test in Westlake?

Regardless of the kind of blood test you are seeking, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Westlake-area labs and healthcare providers, filter by the test you want and find a top-rated blood testing location. Be sure to include “blood testing” as the reason for visit.

  • Where can I get blood work after hours in Westlake?

Outside routine work hours, most Westlake labs and primary care offices are closed, however, most of the area’s urgent care and retail clinics are open later than typical business hours and on weekends. Book an after-hours visit to get prompt, no-hassle care and get your blood test results faster.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for blood work in Westlake?

Same-day and next-day appointments for many blood tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Westlake-area providers, find a lab or draw station, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “blood work” as your reason for visit.

  • How do I find the best labs for blood testing in Westlake?

Solv gathers ratings, reviews, and other data on Westlake-area labs and healthcare providers to ensure the providers meet our high standards. Search for blood work providers, see what previous patients think, and book an appointment with a top-rated lab or clinic today!

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Westlake?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Westlake?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Westlake today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.
