I woke up with a sinus infection. Siince I have had them before I know what they feel like. This has been Going on since Wed making this the 4th day. The provider blew it off as a cold. Told me if its worse in 5 to 7 day to call her , then she will treat it. Really the the next day was day 5. So let me see she wait until it sets in so we can treat it longer, possibly have to see someone agains so it another office visit and more money for you all ripping people off. Or maybe even ending up in the hospital with it tuning into something deadly. My daughter was with me since she had an apt 20 minutes latter so we were in the same room. this provider googled her stuff, showed us pics. We ended up at the ER with her issue 4 hours later. This privider needs to be turned into the medical board for #1 diagnosed out of google. Really .!!!!!!! The clinc is fine and some of the providers are spot on but this provider needs to go bad reputation for the clince.

I feel frustrated. I am a school nurse in MISD, I have been around a ton of kids with strep and I was Dx with strep 4 days ago myself. He is c/o pain when swallowing food and water. He has had a fever and stomach ache which are also signs of strep. I am a Single Mom and need to get back to work. I truly wish he would have been prescribed Antibiotic even though he didn’t test positive for strep today, I feel there is an error bc he gets strep frequently and I know how he presents symptom wise.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the virus or is at risk should get tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who have engaged in unprotected sex, shared needles for drug use, or have had a blood transfusion before 1992. Those who have traveled to or are from regions with high rates of hepatitis, such as Asia and Africa, should also consider getting tested. People with HIV are also at a higher risk and should regularly get tested for hepatitis.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial in preventing the spread of the disease and reducing its impact on your health. Hepatitis often shows no symptoms until the liver is significantly damaged, making regular testing essential for early detection and treatment. According to the CDC, chronic hepatitis can lead to severe health issues like liver cancer and cirrhosis. By getting tested, individuals can take steps to protect their health and prevent transmission to others.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can offer regular testing for hepatitis during routine check-ups. They can also provide vaccinations and necessary treatments if you test positive for the virus.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a vital resource for those who do not have insurance or cannot afford testing otherwise.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another convenient option for hepatitis testing. These kits can be ordered online and used in the privacy of your own home. The results are then sent to a lab and you receive your results digitally.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Saginaw

Saginaw, located in Tarrant County, TX, sees a steady number of hepatitis cases each year. While the exact number fluctuates, the prevalence is comparable to the national average. However, it's important to note that many cases of hepatitis go unreported due to the lack of symptoms, making actual numbers potentially higher.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Saginaw

Risk factors for hepatitis in Saginaw are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, drug use, and having a blood transfusion before 1992. Additionally, individuals who have traveled to or are from regions with high rates of hepatitis should also consider getting tested.

Other STDs in Saginaw

In addition to hepatitis, Saginaw sees cases of other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis. Regular testing for these STDs is also recommended, particularly for those at high risk. As with hepatitis, many of these STDs can be asymptomatic, making regular testing crucial for early detection and treatment.
