Friendly Staff

My visit at urgent care in Narberth was good. The doctor took time with me and explained everything to me. The young medical tech was excellent! He was efficient and friendly. This is my second time visiting the clinic and I would return.

I woke up with limited mobility, having done something to throw out my back. My primary care doctor couldn’t see me until the afternoon and Amanda and the staff at AFC got me in right away. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I was already feeling a little better by the afternoon which would’ve been the earliest I could’ve been seen by my regular physician. Thank you!

I cut my leg badly a couple of days ago and needed help asap! I immediately thought of the closest Urgent Care on Valley Forge Rd. and Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale. I was a walk-in and there were a couple of sick children ahead of me so they immediately got me to a private room where I wouldn't be exposed to germs and cleaned my leg while I waited for the on-duty physician's assistant, Catherine Moran. She was attending to those ahead of me but came in to evaluate my injury and informed me that the wound would require stitches. When she finished with the others, she attended to me and did an outstanding job! Not only was the stitching painless but the quality of her handiwork was fabulous! She was calm and reassuring as were the nurse who performed the preliminary duties (blood pressure, information gathering, etc.) and staff. I was impressed with the competence of everyone involved and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need! Thank you to all of the staff who helped me!

Using the SOLV app, i was able to easily make an appointment for a test. Once at the site, I waited in line for maybe 10 minutes. The actual test took about a minute. My results came in less than three days, two days being a Saturday and Sunday. Overall, very easily done.

My son was being tested today and I was able to pick him up from school and go over there immediately as it was extremely easy to get an appointment. When we got there he was tested right away without any wait. The test was quick and easy and the staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a Covid test in the area!

I go to this location every time I need to have a Covid test. The staff is always friendly and kind, and today someone even told me they hoped I feel better! I will always return to this location for Covid testing and recommend it to other people as well. Thank you so much for providing outstanding customer care!

It was great except that the county needs to put this link on ALL of their covid webpages, otherwise you can't register for a test https://data-ontcopa.opendata.arcgis.com/pages/covid-testing-page Users should NOT have to Google to multiple websites to finally find out how to register, but as far as I know the correct link is only on 1 webpage & is missing from several (including the ones with map locations of testing sites & info on how to get tested). Of course, "Bedside Manner" isn't really applicable.

The woman checking us in could not hear very well and it was difficult to speak clearly and loudly through the mask, but that was the hardest part. Our appointments were clear, and the site wasn't busy so we got through quickly and early. The team administering the tests were clear in their instructions, although we felt bad for the woman who had to count for each test administered.

This was very quick and convenient. I appreciate the County having testing centers readily available for residents. My only negative comment is that, while the lady who distributed my test was very nice and helpful, the lady who checked me in was not very friendly. I got my test in Ardmore next to IHOP at 1:05.

The people who work at this COVID testing sight are wonderful. They are friendly, efficient and professional. We are so grateful that they are there. The entire registration and testing process went very quickly and I look forward to rapid results because I have a family wedding to attend in a few days.

We scheduled a COVID-19 test through Montgomery County and the process was fast and efficient. The test site was easy to find, no wait and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. I received my results fast and easy to access. I would recommend this place.

I went to get a COVID test. The process was very quick and efficient. The problem is how long it takes to get the results. I got tested Wednesday morning. It is late Friday afternoon and I still do not have a result. It is too slow. That is why I would not recommend using this facility. I booked online

Outdoor Montgomery County Covid testing site was very efficient. Easy to schedule an appointment and register online, next day appointments every 2 minutes so lots of availability, clear instructions, adequate parking and testing is outdoors so it is safe. You park, walk up to check in, get your swab, step aside for a self administered nasal swab, return the swab for processing and leave with instructions for what to do while waiting for test results, which will be available to in 2 - 3 days via text. Thank you to the Montgomery County Health Department for such an efficient system.

Only issue was it was hard to hear the person counting. We are several feet away and staff is behind plexiglass. Previous test the person had a microphone or megaphone so it was much better. That would be my recommendation, because some people are hard of hearing. We are not and had trouble hearing the directions.

This setting is outside for the client and the staff are in a mobile unit for cautious planning… that’s sensible! They were completely ready for me; it was my second time for a test in about 2 months. The nurse explained how to self insert the Q-tip very explicitly so that I do feel that it should be as accurate as possible. They made it a nice experience. There was no wait time at any point.

- Verified patient on 10/28

My only issue is they gave me a swab and not the vial so I had to walk the swab 6 feet to them uncovered and was concerned that if I did test positive would Covid germs be blowing in the air and may expose the staff and anyone waiting in line.

I’m glad I went to Ardmore for this test. Took perseverance to get through to register by phone. Once appointment was made there were several reminders through text and email. I arrived early and was taken quickly. Easy registration. Test results were available the following day. Wow. Very efficient.

Scheduling was quick and easy. Testing was quick and easy. Results reporting was very prompt and easy to understand The testing site had 3 inches of water in front of the testing area so this was bothersome but I could work around it. I had a good experience overall

At this time of year (late summer) the trailer was fine as a site for this test. My five star rating may be different as the weather changes and becomes colder. It’s a tough location to see from the street, but I live in the area and know approximately where it could be. Check in was fine because I completed form online prior to getting there. The people there were very professional and friendly.

I am so grateful to the Cty for having the testing site in Ardmore. More importantly the respect, warmth and care were impressive. My heightened anxiety was calmed just by being in the presence of such a wonderful team. Peggy and Matt who worked with me were outstanding. Thank you so much. You may use my review WITHOUT my name.

Went to the Ardmore location this time, for another test so I could see my newly vaccinated dear friend again, who lives independently in an over-65 community which requires a negative test for a visit. (I have no symptoms and greatly limit my exposure.) There was a short line which was well organized, spaced out, and moved quickly. The staff was very clear about instructions, and very kind. Thanks again for such good care!

The testing process went very smoothly. However we are concerned for the safety of the technician who collected the samples. Although people being tested did their own nasal swabbing. The technician held the tubes and allowed the people being tested to slide the swab into the tube. The technician was not wearing gloves to protect her self and when we noted that she simply said “I’m OK”. We are two retired physicians Familiar with good laboratory and clinical practice. Gloves are used both to protect patients and to protect laboratory workers. We strongly suggest that the technician collecting the samples be trained to use gloves during her work.

The Ardmore Covid-19 testing site in Montgomery County is providing superior service. Our tax dollars are being spent with the utmost attention to detail. There is plenty of space to social distance. The staff quickly knows who you are, so the computerized booking system must be excellent. They are efficient in confirming your details and you step seamlessly to the next window, where two people work together to provide you with an untouched test swab and provide clear instructions on what to do. They answered a question with a visual example and offered a brief context so that I could understand fully without having to linger. I have tried using a private practice before, but will never go back. Montgomery County excels at providing outstanding service. Thank you. I am grateful.

Ardmore Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
