The staff was cordial and vey helpful. The check-in was easy enough with a little help from the receptionist . The doctor or PA listened to the issues and recommended what was needed. In my case, I needed an antibiotic which I’m taking 2 x per day. Also recommended nasal spray and Tylenol. She was extremely sympathetic and caring . This prompt MD was better than my previous one in Edgewater.

Getting Tested for STDs in Edgewater, NJ

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, sexually active individuals, particularly those with multiple partners, should get tested for STDs. This includes both men and women between the ages of 25 and 40, as well as older adults who are sexually active. In addition, individuals who engage in unprotected sex or share needles for drug use are at a higher risk and should consider regular testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial aspect of maintaining overall health. Early detection and treatment can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Moreover, many STDs are asymptomatic, meaning they don't show any symptoms. Regular testing is the only way to know for sure whether or not you have an STD.
