Very easy to schedule appt for a same day. Was surprised by the fact that they are paperless and in order to view anything you have to download their app. It’s been 2 days and still no results, as for the medication you have to go on the appt and send it your self to the pharmacy otherwise you will not get it. Overall it was a good visit but it could have improved on some things for sure.

Showed up at the Ruston urgent care location for a walk in, learned about the crazy wait time but also the app, so I installed Solv and found that the Tacoma urgent care location has appointments available to schedule that day, where Ruston only had tomorrow. So I scheduled one just 30 minutes away, rushed to the office and the app knew I was there so I checked in, talked to the receptionist, she already had my insurance and stuff from the app scanning my card👍 so she photoed my ID and told me I'd have a 45 minute wait. I was excited for this. I left and used the wait list on the app to track my position in line, and showed up, was seen pretty much right away, dental assistant was kind, put in all the info, doctor came in right away, got the antibiotics I needed immediately. Pharmacy had my prescription ready soon as I got there, within 10 minutes probably. The whole experience was pretty amazing and even though it was sudden and I was in pain, had to learn about the app and whatnot, it was so easy. Very impressed.

Easy in and easy out. I just wish there was more seats to sit on. People tend to bring a plus one and I wasn’t able to sit so I stood outside in the rain until I saw a seat open.

Getting Tested for STDs in Puyallup, WA

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, are under the age of 25, or are men who have sex with men, as these groups are at a higher risk. According to the CDC, it's recommended to get tested at least once a year if you fall into any of these categories. Regular testing is crucial because many STDs often have no symptoms, but can still cause serious health problems if left untreated.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a vital part of maintaining your sexual health. Early detection and treatment can prevent many of the serious and long-term health problems that can result from untreated STDs, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Testing also helps to prevent the spread of STDs to others. It's important to remember that having an STD is not a reflection of your character or worth; it's a health issue that can affect anyone who is sexually active.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also provide STD testing. If you have a regular doctor, they may be the best person to talk to about your concerns and symptoms. They can provide you with a test and discuss treatment options if you test positive.

Free STD testing and community health centers

There are also options for free STD testing in the Puyallup area. Community health centers often offer free or low-cost testing, especially if you have no insurance or are unable to pay.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another option for STD testing. These kits can be ordered online, completed in the privacy of your own home, and then sent back to a lab for testing. Results are usually available within a few days.
