After receiving my results, I called Labcorp and discussed the results with a consultation. This consultation filled in my knowledge gaps and made me more aware of my particular situation.

I give 5 stars because everyone I've encountered has been nice and friendly. Very helpful the Dr.s listen to what your telling them. And your in and out in no time. That's the best thing. I've been there and I've taken my children there a few times. So that's why I've gave 5 stars. No complaints from me yet.

It was convenient to make the appointment online. I've been there twice now and they are efficient. Focused on the problem you're there for and a real MD is there. I will definitely be back the next time I need care. I paid cash for my visit and after the exam and tests I paid $155.00. My wait time in lobby was about 15 minutes. I was there about 45 minutes total. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to. They Escribed my prescription while I waited and was able to go directly to my pharmacy and get my medication as soon as I left afc. They have served me well and I will use them again in the future.

Two days into my vacation, I wake up & every breath I take gives me a sharp pain in my left lung. I am a bit scared, have no idea where to go , a local barista suggested AFC Urgent care in Sevierville. I could not thank her enough! Then I experienced great care & a prompt diagnosis . The health news I received wasn't good, but with meds I would recover & be able to make the 2 day drive back home & follow up with my primary. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I felt welcomed immediately, some tests were done to find out what was going on with me, & the doctor was direct in telling me my diagnosis. Assured me they would be there again if I didn't feel better before I went home. My nerves calmed down & I was able to concentrate on getting better. Great staff in my eyes, would highly recommend to anyone in need of a clinic. Keep it up guys!

It was fine. I was in and out quickly. I wish they would stick to the covid precautions. There are signs on the door that said masks must be worn. I know they’re also only allowed to let 3 people in at a time. When I got there a group of 5 unvaccinated women were there (they were talking about it). They were there just to get Covid tests to go to a concert. Only one of them was wearing a mask. It was super frustrating because responsible people are doing what they can to stop spreading covid but when we need medical care we’re still being exposed to people that won’t even wear a mask. This seems unacceptable in a medical facility.

Everyone was so sweet and professional. The front staff was very sweet and pleasant. I have to say I was very nervous at first because of the tests but Jessica A did my COVID swab and I never felt uncomfortable then I needed blood work and I never felt the needle. I had to have my EKG done and the first 2 times they said the quality was bad and the other MA was very frustrated, I could tell, but then Jessica came in any fixed something on the machine and made me feel very relaxed and not at all uncomfortable. She is such a sweet nurse. Amanda was my NP and she genuinely was very concerned and took great care of me. I could see how very busy everyone was but I never felt rushed and made me feel like I was the only one that mattered. They even communicated with my PCP. I can’t thank this team or recommend them high enough. Nobody wants to end up in the ER and if this team can help, they do what they can to help but also don’t hesitate to help you understand that sometimes you have to go. Thank you so much.

Brandy was awesome! I am thankful for the meeting with her. She was thoughtful and insightful. The one thing I did not like is that in order to check in, the instructions on the door (& on recording) stated to scan the qr code. I’m 56 and don’t have a phone that can do that. Most people my age or older aren’t going to know how to do this. Thankfully Brandy had advised to just call in to check in but I never reached anyone but I texted her and she notified the office. If there was a direct line to check in or another link to tap in in order to check in from, would be wonderful! I Definately did not want to come in. Thank you so so much and I am a retired quality assurance tester, so if you need thoughts or someone to test an updated app, please let me know!

The staff was great. I checked in at 10:15 and was told the wait could be 3 hours. I only live 10 minutes away, the lady told me it could be around 12. The wait list is great. I checked it and saw it was going to be about 12 and not 1, so went back to clinic. Was called to come in at 12:02. Again the lady at desk was very nice. Had test, had to wait 15 minutes on test. PA came and gave me results. She explained it and explained what I should do. The best part she listed and answered all my questions. Great experience. Only bad part, had to be sick to get experience.

I walked in a very sick woman. From the first hello to the goodbye, I was treated as if I was the only patient who mattered. Compassionate, caring and on top of every symptom I had. My Doctor, Caroline Holland, and her Nurses and staff took excellent care of me. Wasted no time in doing tests to find the diagnosis. I’m not good when a Nurse has to take my blood but the one who did was AWESOME! Thank you to Dr. Holland and everyone who cared for me. Professional and Compassionate and leave Diagnosed! All with kindness and hope you feel better soon! THANK YOU, AFC Chapman.

The video conference went well. The text updates were appreciated. The nurse was professional and kind. Your online site is a bit confusing. It needs to be made clear that at the time of the video conference, the provider will tell you when to go to the clinic for your COVID-19 test. That all you need to do online is schedule the video conference. I had actually signed up for another time slot thinking that I needed to schedule my own Covid-19 test (because back in November, that’s how it was done and the nurse called you after the appointment). I also wondered if I was supposed to be in the parking lot for my video conference and then someone would immediately come out to test me. It just wasn’t clear how it all worked. A clarification on the covid section of your website would be helpful.

I have an appointment at 9:30 am for a Covid test I arrived at 9:30 and had already done all my paperwork and check in online. However I had to wait until 10:30 am before I could be seen. even though I was just there for a Covid test… I was treated as if I was a new patient with a medical need. I didn’t understand that until I saw my bill which was $$120. I knew the Covid test would not be free but did not expect… And was not told upfront… That I would be paying for the full service of the facility as opposed to just a test.

I have a wonderful PC in Knoxville but was at my daughters 2 mi from Sevierville TN AFC. I have used them several times as well as the one in Fountain City AFC. They never disappoint & I received excellent care from the time I walk in the door. I usually make an appointment ahead to shorten waiting & fill out the paperwork online. The MA that checked me in as well as the doctor were very thorough. I was quite sick with a respiratory COPD flare up & prescribed proper meds. You WILL receive excellent care. I was in & out in one hour & that included results of flu, strept & COVID tests. Try to remember if you do have to wait they are humans & sometimes they have staff out sick too.

I had just enough symptoms to make me want to get a Rapid Covid 19 test. The receptionist was friendly and kind. Per protocol, I waited in the car until it was time to be seen. My nurse Madison was cheerful and caring. She was very gentle during the Covid procedure. I then saw Ashley Still, NP. We talked about my symptoms and she looked in my ears and throat and then listened to my chest. When the Covid results returned, she explained the CDC recommended instructions and made sure I understood why I should still self-quarantine for 10 days from the onset of symptoms. Everyone at AFC Urgent Care Ooltewah is so kind yet professional. That is why I continue to return there if I need their help.

I started getting sick yesterday evening & I needed a place that opened early on a Sunday to be seen due to having a small child & my job. Maggie was wonderful! She was attentive to all my complaints & she did thorough testing on me. The front desk girl was nice as well. She told me if I needed anything as I was leaving to please call them & let them know. I had only seen this clinic driving by but never been here before. When searching for urgent cares open at 8 they popped up. I was able to easily make an appointment online & do all my paperwork as well. Such an easy, smooth & wonderful visit. Will definitely be back & have already recommended to other people. Thank you!

The MA or nurse (not sure) who did my covid test was incredible and super friendly. Working in healthcare I see a lot of people get stuck in the rut of patient after patient, but she was so upbeat and happy and made me have such a comfortable experience. The male NP who came in was equally as amazing. Not having the covid vaccine has made me feel a bit judged in other medical settings (I’ve had covid and have a high antibody count) but I felt no judgement from this NP. He explained things in the best manner and made me feel completely at ease. A true healthcare professional! So happy with this visit!

The nurse that saw me and my doctor where very nice and professional. That being said the nurse that came to do my flu and covid test was not. First the two nose test that she administered where rough and done just at the very end of my nose not in the noise. Every covid test and flu test I have had in the past where up the nose. Second she was rough with the test and did not have a good bedside manner. My daughter was in the room beside me and when she was done I was informed by her that her nurse was mean to her and administered her test the same way.

I was a sick walk in today, arrived and checked in at 915am and was there close to 4 hours! As I requested a covid test, I was asked to wait in my car and waited there for 2 hours. The provider, Dr. Campbell, spent all of 5 mins with me, ordered a CXR, had that done and waited some more. By the time I chose to leave, I had been there 3 hrs and 45 mins! I've been to the clinic before and never had to wait like this. When you're sick, waiting almost 4 hours feels like an eternity. I feel bad for the provider and staff to be that booked up and overloaded. They need additional hands, MA's and providers! Such a shame, but don't think I'll ever walk in again. Apparently, I should have made an appointment even though it's an urgent care walk in clinic.

I have been extremely sick for four days now and I have been here several times and I always had a great experience but this time they did not offer to take my temperature or check my oxygen all they did was take my blood pressure The doctor did listen to my breathing and then they give me a shot and the doctor told me he was going to give me some medicine they did not do an x-ray on my chest which is extremely congested and feels like I have a horse on top of me it was late when I got there and I understand they were tired and ready to go home but still yet when a sick person comes in you would think they would take care of them as they would if it was in the morning. I was very disappointed and I am still very sick and will probably end up having to go to the hospital maybe that’s where I should’ve went to begin with but I will not use Sevierville Hospital so I have to go to Knoxville and I have no energy and really don’t know that I want to make that drive by myself. I know you can call an ambulance but I don’t feel like this is an emergency but if my breathing does not get better maybe it will be. I just feel like they could have done more as far as check me out instead of just giving me a shot and a Z pack and prednisone and sent me home. I really just feel like they should’ve checked my oxygen they should’ve checked my temperature and they should’ve at least done a chest x-ray I was just very disappointed this time. I recommend them because it is always been a good place but I’m trying to just make it out as the fact that they close at eight and I got there at seven so they were ready to go home. I tested negative for Covid but not that I want that Q-tip shoved up in my nose but I really don’t think they are testing right because it just barely went up in my nose. I feel like they should do a different type of Covid test if they don’t know how to put the Q-tip in the nasal and actually get a good swab. Just makes me wonder do I have Covid and have I exposed others so I am being very safe at home and staying away from everyone because I am so sick I have no energy and I really can’t drive right now. And I don’t really have anyone to help me because everyone has a life and it’s kind of hard to ask them to stop what they’re doing to take me to the doctor that may take hours you never know. I just thought that urgent care was my best bet because it has always been in the past this time I really just feel like they were done with the day and wanted out of there. If I’m not better in a few days I’m going to have to go to the hospital and I don’t want to. Then I will be exposed to all those germs that has been brought in there. I have a very low immune system and catch everything and anything so I’m scared to go to the hospital but at the same time if I get worse or do not get better I’m going to have to when I really feel like the urgent care could’ve helped me better than they did.

I called to see about a covid test. I appreciated the fact that they had a nurse pre-qualify and then scheduled that day. I think the process was very easy. The only question I have is that I got my results from my covidbtest back but I have not seen the results from my flu test. I wish that it was a little bit easier to see on the patient portal. It has now been 22 hours and when I look at the lab results there is nothing there. I do see the covid results under the medical records but nothing about the flu.

Reception and medical staff were wonderful. I was turned away from other clinics in town who said I could only get a Covid test if I went through their online site, where there were no appts avail! I got right in with you and finally found out I had Covid. I was just so glad to know after days of trying to find out. I will always go here in the future. I’m incredibly grateful. A bonus was not having lengthy paperwork as all my information was in the system from having gone to the clinic across town earlier this year. Thank you!

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a medical provider's office, but even more so at a pediatrician's office. The wait time was minimal, the check-in process being digital on your phone was super convenient. I would absolutely recommend anyone with children use this urgent Care. The provider and staff was phenomenal with my daughter. Their main priority was to make sure that she was comfortable. Once her favorite broke and she was ready to play the nursing staff actually played with her, which absolutely stood out to me. She needed some testing that required a urine sample and once again their top priority was to make sure that she was comfortable. I'd also like to make a special note that in a world with covid, if someone has a fever or is showing any signs of covid people seem to shy away or change their demeanor, ever not one single staff member did in our case. Though she was negative for covid, it was nice to see that they still treated everyone equally. Thank you for that.

I have been to this AFC location multiple times (for COVID and non-Covid issues) and have been pleased with my treatment every time! My latest visit was for a Covid test and I knew there would be a long wait. I was informed of my wait time when I arrived, was sent an wait-time update text during my wait and actually got in quicker than anticipated! I truly appreciate this clinic and their staff ( ESPECIALLY DAVID AND JANET)! Janet and David never rushed me while I discussed my symptoms/lack of symptoms, expressed my concerns and answered ALL of my questions during my visit! I can not imagine the stress that health care workers are going through right now (and all throughout the ongoing COVID pandemic), but greatly appreciate the professionalism, caring and friendliness shown by all the members of the Chapman Hwy AFC clinic staff! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!🥰

Livingston Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
