I went in because I’ve been feeling terrible trying to fight what I thought was a bad cold. When I arrived, Brittney, who has a wonderful attitude, got me all checked in and I didn’t wait long at all to be seen. Jalyn helped me get ready to see the doctor and she was so kind and helpful. Dr. John Davis was absolutely wonderful and made me feel better just by being in the room. He asked me questions about how I have been feeling and was able to diagnose me quickly. He was so incredibly nice and helpful. I was out of there in no time and I have your awesome team of professionals to thank for that! I will definitely return should the need arise in the future!

My son was showing signs of an eye infection and we were able to make an appointment within a couple hours to go in. The staff was incredibly friendly and took great care of him. Our only issue was that we waited over an hour past our appointment time before seeing anyone. Not sure why they still have appointments showing as available if they are running so far behind in schedule, and they don’t provide a ton of updates or information about how long the wait would be.

Short Wait Time

Great urgent care! They accepted both my primary and secondary insurance. You can walk in or set up an appointment on line. Quickly tap in your arrival notice on the couple of screens provided. The wait was then minimal, the staff always meet you with a smile and the facility is beautiful. I saw a knowledgeable nurse practitioner who was very attentive and concerned with my leaving with all my needs addressed. When I had an issue that the pharmacy I requested was closed, I was able to quickly have them reroute the meds to one that was open. This will be my go-to location for urgent care when my PCP is not available.

Was sent home from school with 101.4 temperature the day before.   Temperature kept rising and it hurt to breathe, laugh or cough.   Since I’m asthmati, I knew it was either bronchitis or pleurisy which I get every winter.   A coworker raved about this place so I dropped in!   Not disappointed!

I sliced my finger and they got me in very quickly and took very good care of me. They cleaned up my wound and we figured out I needed stitches and Angel did them and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable and okay throughout the whole process. I 100% would recommend anyone to go see them.

The lady that called me back seemed annoyed when she called me back as I’m walking towards the room she ask me about my height I didn’t hear her I stopped she asked again wit a smirk on her face, then instead of saying please have a seat she used her fingers pointing gestures to have a seat. I felt disrespected by that but I continue to wait in another room and a guy with piercings and tattoos comes in , he was polite and courteous and made me feel welcome, the lady who helped me in the beginning came in with my test results seemed a bit nicer than before giving me bad news. I have never seen her before but she could use some practice on her courtesy skills and communication skills.

Y’all need some kind of music is there, way to silent and awkward. Also it’s strange to publicly announce “ hey are you getting a covid test today “ to people makes everyone feel weird

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

We needed rapid antigen tests for travel and Brazos was very helpful. The facility was clean and they were obviously concerned for our health, even though we were just walk in patients. I would recommend them.

This is my first Covid test and I was very nervous. The staff had wonderful bedside manner and put me at ease. I was also shocked at how quickly the rapid test results came back. Very thankful for a first-time experience.

Amazing! The people that work there are so sweet and kind. Very professional! I would tell everyone to go there. We went for a COVID test and they were so thorough.

My wife and I came in for a COVID rapid test. The tech was very professional and nice. After about 20 minutes, a doctor came out to the truck and explained the results. While mine came back negative, my wife tested positive which wasn’t a surprise since she had previously contracted COVID but a couple days earlier she began feeling better and her symptoms disappeared. Both of us believed we had to test negative before we could go back to work and be around other people. The doctor explained that they don’t test for COVID in people who have previously tested positive since the virus, although “incapacitated” by the antibodies, are still present in the nasal cavity which will likely remain for several weeks. So that’s why she didn’t need the test and explains why she’s been cleared to go back to work. I appreciate the doctor who spent a couple minutes to explain this simple but important point for our peace of mind as well as helping spread the word so tests aren’t wasted. I have yet to talk to a friend, family member or colleague who knew this. Why the public hasn’t been informed of this by our government appointed medical experts is beyond me. Thank you Dr!

Went to get a rapid covid test before traveling. Went very smoothly and easily. Results were quick!

I had an appointment at 2pm. I arrived 10 minutes prior to 2pm and checked in. I was scheduled for covid19 test by curbside. I waited in my vehicle until 2:40 and several people arrived after me and still no one ever came out to administer the test. I called them and told them I had to leave for a different appointment and that I had been there 10 minutes before my 2pm appointment and here it was 2:40 and I still had not been tested. Reception said they don't really do appointments its just a slot and that they had actual patient inside that was getting a physical. I ended up leaving for my other appointment and had to return back for my covid19. I was then told I had to go inside for test not curbside due to weather and it was a little chilly but no rain.? I ended up getting tested at 5pm. Too long if a wait time after I did what I was told when I called to make my 2pm appointment. I completed on line paperwork, uploaded insurance, uploaded drivers license, completed my profile arrived 10 minutes prior to my 2pm appointment as instructed.

Very easy to get a PCR test done. This is the sixth one I’ve purchased from you, so I’m not crazy about the price, but I appreciate that you own the equipment and that you can turn it quickly. The team member who helped us was very polite and very efficient. I have two points of feedback for you that may be helpful: first, the distinction of a travel PCR test versus regular PCR test is confusing to me. The team member was unable to clarify any technical differences between the two for me. All she said was that they were two different machines, but it didn’t seem like she had an understanding of the difference. Secondly, both times I’ve been there, your system sends me a text right after I leave that says I can complete documentation with a URL link. However there’s no documentation that needs to be completed at that point. The first time we called to see what else we needed to do, and were told to just ignore the text. Seems like you could change that text to something more intuitive/ relevant or not send it unless there is something actionable. Hope that’s helpful!

It was overall request. However, I don’t think it was medically necessary to re-see my son for another telemedicine when I requested for my son to have a pcr covid test when he was just seen for the same exact reason the day before. I called the same day of his rapid test to also have a pcr. But because they no longer were doing the covid test the staff told me to come in the next day. When I came back for the pcr test, the staff told me I need to do another telemedicine. I explained the scenario but it seems that the logic was not heard and was told that my son still need to be seen telemedicine. I decided to cancel all together and scheduled my son for the pcr test at CVS. I wished that the staff had checked with the doctor first to confirm if it’s medically necessary to see my patient again for the same reason and to only repeat a test. Sometimes, a process may have some exception. Otherwise, I like the physicians and the convenience, except this time.

The provider I believe her name was Dr. Clem was quick to get me out the door and acted as if I was not imporatant when I asked for her to look at my son and why was there swelling under his tongue and that I was concerned if there was congestion in his lungs she recommended covid testing I asked her could it be flu since my son had been around my grandbaby who was diagnosed with flu 2 days prior to my visit, her response was it was probably a false positive but she did not explain why she felt it was negative, I did ask for a flu test even thou she was reluctant to do one, then the nurse returned shortly afterwards and stated the results of the covid were negative as well as his flu test but I had to ask again why was there swelling under my son's tongue since both test were negative, the provider finally had told me it was his congestion. I have been here several times in the past and had not had to expierence a bad bed side manner from a provider I am hoping she was just not feeling well or not aware of this and will improve on my next visit.

I called at 2:00 PM to see if the facility had any rapid COVID-19 tests. They informed me they did and they told me I could either walk in or make an appointment. I made an appointment for 4:15 PM. I figured that if I went in at 2 as a walk in I would probably be seen around the same time since typically appointments are seen first. When I arrived, at 4:00 PM I checked in and there were about 5 patients in front of me. I waited for 45 minutes. I asked if they had any updates on when I could possibly be seen as I was now 30 minutes past my appointment time. I was informed that they only had one provider in and they would not be able to provide me with that information. I will say the staff was more than accommodating, apologetic, and helpful. They provided my daughter a toy and a snack. Around 5:30 I had to leave to go get my son. When I arrived back at 5:50, I waited about 10 more minutes before being placed in a room at 6:00. The triage was quick, and the rapid test was done around 6:05. I noted the times because I had two kids with me who were tired and hungry. The rapid test takes about 30-45 minutes to get results. So I figured I would be out of there by 7. My daughter has breathing problems and needed a breathing treatment by 7:30. At 7, I had to leave without seeing a doctor. After 3 hours, I couldn’t wait any longer to be told whether or not I had COVID-19. A quick one second yes or no would have satisfied. However, I was informed they would be throwing out the test and I couldn’t receive results because I was unwilling to wait any longer. I understand they are understaffed, but then don’t make so many appointments. Walk-ins we’re also being taken before appointments. I witnessed this with 2 separate individuals who stated after asking if they needed an appointment, that they would just be walk-ins. I am so disappointed that I wasted 3 hours of my time to get a simple test, and I couldn’t even get results because I have kids I have to take care of. They need to rethink their patient queue and amount of appointments they are allowing with only one provider on staff.

First of all, I had to sign in for the very first time at the Physicians Center and fill out 3 pages of paperwork which was very easy but then I had to wait for a long time but as soon as I was seen by the nurse it was very quick and I had to wait a while to see the Dr and he was respectful, polite, well mannered, caring, blunt, nice, a very good listener, every single question that I had for the Dr he had answered it and in full details, he helped me completely understand a lot about Covid-19 and the Covid-19 test, what the test looks for, what are the symptoms COVID-19, the guidelines for the CDC, how to prevent someone else from getting Covid-19, he assisted in getting me in getting a Dr’s excuse for my leave of absence from work so I wouldn’t spread Covid-19 if I ended up getting it, and he was the best Dr that I have ever had and held a conversation with seriously! The Dr that had seen me today 06-24-21 should be recognized for his words and his actions and I would recommend anyone to this particular Dr J Hancock PA-C and I would go back to see him if I ever have anything medical problems in the future! Thank you very much Dr J Hancock you are a real doctor that actually cares about people, their health, helping others, how to resolve any am illness, and how to prevent the spread of an illness Sir! May God bless you, your family, the staff there at the Physicians Center, and the entire world…

Receptionist (Gracieanna)loudly asked for all waiting room to hear if I was using Medicare? I have been here numerous times using private insurance and nothing provides a reason for such a question. I arrived 30 minutes early. While I was waiting, Three white women show up without appointments, ask questions, Complete the Solv questionnaire at the desk and all get seen before me. When I asked Gracieanna about my appointment, then she stated, oh you’re next. There was no one else left in the waiting room. Once seen the male nurse didn’t weigh me but asked me to tell him my weight and began a discourse about me taking medication for high blood pressure and having been referred by a doctor. When I explained to him, I had never visited for anything other than a Covid test, he was dismissive and provided me with none of my vitals. Temp, blood Pressure and O2. The doctor did provide my vitals after I asked and her bedside manner was the standard of professionalism and care that I have encountered in the past. Without my prior experiences, I would never return; however, I hope this staff team I encountered was an anomaly.

This is my second visit to PrimaCare for Covid testing. The first visit was wonderful and it was a smooth process. The second visit was great up to the point of speaking with the doctor. Her name is Shana Fakkel. I wanted to retest to make sure I am negative and be able to leave home isolation from being almost two weeks in a room, have peace of mind to be close to my parents which both are 65+ years of age, I live with them and not live with the uncomfortable feeling that I can be COVID-19 positive and affect the people around me. In short, Ms. Fakkel, which I will not even want to call her by Dr. had the audacity of questioning my retesting decision by asking why I would want to make my health insurance pay for another test to have peace of mind. I was shocked! First of all, that is none of her damn business and I have the right to test whenever I feel like it and charge my insurance whenever I feel like it if I PAY FOR IT! Second, she should do her job more professionally and not use a criticizing tone to her patients. I was NOT happy! On a positive note, I still got my test and the rest of the staff is great, so I still recommend this clinic, but it’s sad that one person can ruin it for everyone. I hope to not see her again in the future if I decide to return to PrimaCare.

This NP was rude and acted as if I was ignorant to the world of Covid-19. I too work in the healthcare field and she tried to educate me on the cdc guidelines. My child went in for a headache (no longer had the headache by the time we got their after I was done working) and she forced us to get a PCR test in order to be cleared for him to go back to school and of course this comes with a quarantine until the results come in. The school did not require it and my child’s headache was gone. However, she made it clear that it was okay for my other child and I not to be tested and continue our lives as normal after she explained “kids are carriers and show no signs.” Contradiction if you ask me. She handled this situation poorly, was rude and had no clue she was talking to someone else in healthcare. When I explained to her that it made no sense she walked out of the room in frustration. I am disappointed and I will make note and be sure to never go to little spurs if she is on duty. I am fully aware of the situation the world is in and I am also disappointed in the reaction from someone with the level of education she has regarding a headache. I did present the information from the school to the staff as well, she was the only individual that acted so rudely.

My NP was great as always. Our family always gets taken care of at this facility, however this time...Rita Cortez made it weird! She was so awkwardly rude to me on top of doing weird treatment. I received a flu/Covid test, for both test, she stuck the swab down both nostril EACH test. NP said I was getting a steroid shot, I have always had a shot in hip/top of cheek, no problem, she wanted to put the shot in my side hip BONE area! No thank you! At that point I said I was a little uncomfortable doing that, she said that is how everyone there is trained to do it, I told her I have had a shot here before and this has never happened and she instantly walked out. The whole experience was just off. My husband asked the kind lady who took her place if Rita was having a bad day (because we all go through things) but apparently she wasn’t, this is her nature. Sorry Rita Cortez, but you are in the wrong career field if this is how you treat all of your patients on a daily basis!

Conroe Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
