I took my son to the ER this morning and was given a six hour wait time. Instead of waiting I made an appointment at little spurs urgent care. I arrived 30 minutes early to his appointment and was able to wait in the car until about 10 minutes before his appointment. The paperwork for the appointment was available online so I was able to just show up to the appointment and wait without the stress of trying to fill out paperwork and look after my son.  The staff was friendly and helped my son feel at ease while he was being evaluated. I would recommend this urgent care and would bring my children in the future if needed!

The front desk gentleman was very nice and professional, took my blood pressure & temperature. The nurse who came into patient room told me I should have put my mask on when I had been told I was going to be getting swabbed next - I realize I was contagious but I wasn’t leaving the room and I knew I was getting swabbed - I wasn’t sure it it was going to be my nose or mouth.  Her manner & tone was not friendly.  The PA was great, very nice bedside manner, helpful and answered questions.  I had thought the clinic did PCR tests as they had done in the past but learned that had stopped some time ago. I wanted to have a PCR test done as well but was not able to.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. Healthcare workers, people who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis, and those with chronic liver disease are also advised to get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of severe liver damage. It also helps prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they are infected, so testing is the only sure way to know your status.
