So convenient to go on the phone app and find an appointment! Got in early and I don't think I waited 5 minutes before I was taken back. Was in and out in probably 15 minutes or less with a prescription sent to my Pharmacy.

Was trying to make it to work but that didn’t happen because my knee was in so much pain  Then that’s when I decided it’s to to get checked because I’ve never felt the kind of pain I had since after my surgery. I went online to find an Urgent care still open is when I called to be seen as a walk in patient on my way I was amaze how I was still getting text messages to confirm my being seen . I expected a long wait being in the pain I was in it came to me as another surprise my wait time was the least I expected as it was less than 10 minutes this the shortest time I’ve ever waited in my life time let alone the nurses and Doctor were super kind and helpful I loved my visit with nearly no wait time I would come back to that urgent care anytime

Scheduling was easy via Solv, but no coordination between Solv and the office resulted in multiple duplicate bookings and unacceptable wait time.  2:30 appointment confirmed by Solv, actual check-in 4:55.  Staff was friendly and courteous, but front desk staff was overwhelmed.  Provider and staff were prompt once I was checked in and appointment was quick and efficient.  Care and bedside manner were top notch.

Ran out of prescription meds 2 weeks before my new Primary Care Physician appointment. Went to Indigo Urgent care for help. Stellar staff particularly Medical Assistant Meghan. Walk-in wait time of 1-2 hours turned out to be 20 minutes. Dr. Calvin Yi was super friendly and took great care of me. Wonderful experience! Super grateful and I highly recommend.

Realized that I had symptoms of a UTI. I called for an appointment and was able to be seen within an hour. Check-in was easily done online before I arrived. When I arrived at office I received a friendly welcome and was seen within minutes. My care was provided by Brandy Zerby, who was very kind, competent, and professional. This is my second time utilizing Indi Urgent Care and I am incredibly pleased with the service I have received at both visits. Excellent service!

Puyallup HIV Testing

Who should get tested for HIV?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for HIV, especially if they have multiple partners or engage in unprotected sex. It's also crucial for those who share needles for drug use, tattooing, or body piercing to be tested. According to the CDC, everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 should get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for HIV is essential for several reasons. Firstly, it allows you to know your status, which can give you peace of mind and help you make informed decisions about your health. Secondly, if you test positive, you can start treatment early, which can significantly improve your health, prolong your life, and reduce the chances of transmitting the virus to others. Lastly, testing is the first step in preventing the spread of HIV and controlling the epidemic.

HIV Test FAQs

  • Who should get an HIV test?

Everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 should take an HIV test at least once in their lives. Some people are more likely to get HIV and should be tested more regularly. Those who have had sex with an HIV-positive partner, those who inject drugs, sexually active gay men, and those who have unprotected sex are all included. You should get checked every 6-12 months if you have any of these risk factors.

  • How do they test for HIV?

Antibodies created by your body in reaction to the virus are examined in HIV tests. A blood test or a sample of cells obtained from the inside of the cheek can be used to do this. After that, the sample is transported to a lab, where a technician will look for antibodies.

  • How long should I wait to get an HIV test?

It can take a long time for your body to build enough antibodies for an HIV test to detect the illness if you become sick. It may take 3-12 weeks for your blood to contain adequate antibodies. Even if you have HIV, you could have a negative test result during this time.

  • How long will I have to wait for HIV test results in Puyallup?

Because the sample must be sent to a laboratory for investigation, most HIV test results might take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. On the other hand, some Puyallup clinics or doctor's offices may offer rapid HIV testing, which can deliver a diagnosis in as little as 20 minutes. Rapid HIV testing involve a little sample of blood or fluid obtained from the mouth. You'll need a follow-up blood test to confirm the diagnosis if a fast test comes up positive.

  • How much does an HIV test cost?

A variety of factors influence the cost of an HIV test, including the type of test you receive, the location where you are tested, and whether or not you have health insurance. HIV testing may be provided for free or at a low cost by some clinics or health authorities. If you're a college student, you might be able to get free HIV tests through your school.

  • Is HIV testing covered by my insurance?

The majority of insurance coverage cover HIV testing. The Affordable Care Act mandates that all new health plans provide free HIV testing for those aged 15 to 65. If you have any doubts about what is covered under your individual health plan, you can always call your insurance company or go to their website.

  • Where can I get an HIV test in Puyallup?

Many Puyallup health clinics, doctor's offices, and the health department offer HIV testing. Some pharmacies with on-site clinics may also be able to give HIV testing. Even though some clinics accept walk-in appointments, making an appointment ahead of time will save you time and ensure that you receive your test on the same day.

  • Can I get a same-day appointment for HIV testing?

Yes, Solv offers same-day and next-day HIV testing appointments. We collaborate with thousands of healthcare providers across the country to make it easier for everyone to access the medical assistance they require quickly and conveniently. On our website, you can choose a physician near you and make an appointment right now.

  • How can I book an HIV test on Solv?

Simply type "HIV test" and your location into our website's search box. You'll find a list of providers and their available appointment times on the next page. Fill out the form to arrange an appointment at a time and location that is convenient for you. Make certain that your appointment is for "HIV testing."

  • Can I test myself for HIV at home?

Although there are several home HIV tests available, not all of them are accurate or FDA-approved. For a home test, you'll need a swab from the inside of your mouth or a blood sample taken with a finger pricker. If you get a positive result on a home HIV test, you should see a doctor to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment.
